Why do people in MSQ insist on lagging along through the whole thing even when the sprouts are getting all their juicy cutscene time anyway, getting carried, and if they wanted to know mechanics or where to go, can just run it unsynced with a friend like I did with my Daughter taking her thru on my Pally, unsynced?

Was leveling up my SAM in MSQ roulette and popped Pratorium.
I'm not really here to complain about my time, I could have made it alot shorter by dcing myself like 2 others have been doing and running it that way, or longer if I chose to by ignoring the 3 players I was on discord with who were egging on to rush the thing. Even though I had a DRK who didnt know how to Dark Arts aggro off of me, very basic DRK move to do. Thus my beautiful white clothes got cuffed from having to tank, even with Diversion!
That didn't bother me as much.....

It was the fact that this DRK and one other, clearly in the minority, decided to scream and rant about it, say all sorts of things I could have reported under the brand new wonderful rules set forth by SE, but the fact of the matter is, their playstyle conflicted with the playstyle of mines, and the 3 others involved. Oh we didnt que together btw we just happened to all que for MSQ at same time to see what would happen for our daily roulette. There we are!
I did tell them it will all be ok. But apparently they were silently upset, as in, not vocally saying much of anything, about it, that I was ruining their moment....silently. Their moment, they can easily have if they so want, by going in unsyched with a higher level. Once again, I did this for my Daughter, who shares the same surname as me ingame, because I knew people rush these MSQs, and I do not blame them for it. It takes too long.

I understand its Praetorium....but people new to the dungeon, if they wanna experience it as its meant to be viewed, do it UNSYNCED with an escort! You dont pay our subs!

At the end of it all, after every girls heart throb Lahabrea was defeated, I said "see, u b ok. Next time dun be slow" for some jollies. And I got 4 well deserved commendations for it! ^_^ But the DRK proceeded to be the Champion of the Sprouts!

Well, "Champion", you've sped your way onto my very very small blacklist, since I am not only more experienced in mmorpgs than you likely by about 18 years, thus I seen it all, but it takes a COLOSSAL amount to annoy me enough, to get put on my blacklist.

I am tired of seeing people dictate unseen rules and not using common sense before they open their mouths. I don't care if its PF or DF, you'll be on my blacklist unless your paying for their subs, in which then, you have the right to dictate how they should play.
55 mins in a dungeon that CAN be skipped. They lucky we didnt opt to just do the DC bug, surprised it still works, and made it a 25 minute or less dungeon! If you cant be grateful for at least that, don't queue for it.

To those sprouts, if you read this, do not fret, these are the only MSQs where you would have to be dragged along with since SE still wont do what everyone is asking for. Either make it a personal instance, a 4 man dungeon, or place waiting barriers on every elevator on every transition so no one gets left behind. Or hey, just find someone to do it unsynced with ya! No rush then!
But dont let that Silly DRK from Zalera fool ya, people that que for that roulette, do it for the exp, and will do whatever it takes to cut time so they can do other stuff. Your story at this point, really only just begun, if you let something like this sour you now, well, your gonna have a bad time later.

PS: Dont think just because maybe 5 percent of the playerbase actually reads these forums...you can just post whatever you want on this and not be seen by who your instigating......hint hint DRK from Zalera.....

You get the exp bonus for taking your time to go through this dungeon in a pace thats enjoyable for those who are doing the dungeon for the first time.
Dont wanna go slow? Stay out of those dungeons.

People at that level might not know about unsyched. Or they wanna do them "the right way". Or they dont know anyone yet who would take them through those dungeons unsyched.

Even if you're running those dungeons for the exp and not out of the niceness of your heart and the will to help new people experience the story, those two dungeons are instances were you should prioritise the enjoyment of new people over your own wish to rush through. Be considerate of those who want to experience the story - or, if you dont want to invest that time, stay out of the roulette alltogether. Its by far not the only source of exp in the game and there are ways to level up without ruining the climax of the ARR-storyline for new people.

Its kinda sad that 18 years of excperience with MMOs didnt lead to you picking up a bit of common courtesy.

You...kinda sound like an ass. Just to be honest with you. MSQ roulette is not meant for you - its an incentive for vets to go in and run the content so that newer players can get through it. Don't like it, make a PF and run it at your pace. Kinda one of the reasons the PF is there.

No, its not, its an incentive to get Exp and some tokens or both depending on where your at, and its why people will DC themselves just to get thru quicker time to time. Is it reality check time already?

No, 18 years of experience tells me what is pointless and what is. Its pointless to expect otherwise unless SE hard codes ways of stopping players from speeding thru it. Once again, you dont pay my sub, nor anyones who decides to speed thru this badly designed piece of content. And until SE puts in rules clearly to state for people to stop doing that, which they wont, may as well hope they put in some hard stops in place, or changes these two MSQs completely.

Tbh, you don't pay the subs of the other 4 party members (4 of 4 isn't a minority, at least not in my universe, unless your ego is making you count as more than what you are), either. And you knew beforehand that these things can happen there, and that SE actually wants people to wait for the sprouts (the many changes to these two dungeons, from increased rewards for the veterans to added limitations, should be enough for people to get the idea already). If you want to get your exp faster, there's a lot of more optimal ways to get it. Unless you queue to the MSQ roulette with the idea of doing it while being busy with something else, as a lot of us do.

I don't know what happened there exactly, and what was said by each party for real. However, what I can see very clearly are your own attitude and thoughts written by yourself in your post. So please, do everyone (including yourself) a favor, and use one of the other many ways to level up. You just have to avoid two dungeons, after all.

But, that brings a question to my mind, one that I've asked many times before. If they made it a personal instance for example, as you suggest, that would mean that you wouldn't be able to queue there, and you would be doing someting else to get that exp anyway. So, what are you complaining about exactly when you can simply ignore that the MSQ roulette exists, as if it was changed already?

And? We made a choice to proceed quickly, they didnt kick any of us, they didnt raise any quip or complaint, at all, period, infact only about 4 lines of words was spoken that entire run. Therefore, its on them. If they asked us to slow down, we would have.

And theirs plenty of MSQ stuff they can throw into that roulette.

You've made just 4 posts in these forums and they are each one worst than the previous one. You can't impose your way of playing as you like to people who are running a MSQ dungeon for the first time. No one pays your sub, thankfully, but if you want to do that roulette with "like-minded people", then get 7 other people with your ass mentality and stop being a jerk to new players. It bothers me too when someone can't do their job correctly, but you're in no right to act like this. 18 years of MMO's haven't taught you anything it seems.

I can't impose anymore than you or anyone else can impose on me. Like I said, dont like how I or any of my friends play? Then find like-minded people who do.

You wanna run a dungeon pulling one group at a time while me and the 2 others wanna do wall to wall? Thats too bad! Its Vote Kick time!

You wanna take in scenes in a MSQ while people DC themselves to speed thru as much as they can? Thats their right to do so.

Better for new players to know how harsh its gonna be sooner rather than later, honestly what me and the three did was a Mercy.

18 years of mmos taught me that. And taught me to prepare any new player for the worst as early as possible, so its much less a blow later, and they will know better on how to deal with it. Seems you still need to learn.

Example, while you and many others are currently complaining about this, BA dungeon, I looked at it, saw it for what it is, and laughed, knowing I did and experienced things more than 100x worse, than what seems to be one of the major complaints going on right now.

I'm just laughing at why someone would subject themselves to MS Roulette for xp when there's all sorts of ways to do so in faster and/or more enjoyable fashion. I haven't touched that roulette since the cutscenes were made unskippable.
