Yeah, anyone who wants Viera because they liked them from ff12 I can understand why you'd be disappointed from the "Viera are coming" announcement only being what we already know from that game.

I don't understand why we need to justify wanting something. Least of all in a subscription based form of entertainment and recreation. Nor do I see what's so surprising about expecting both available genders for a newly announced race in a game where not only do all current races have those options available, but has a history of moving away from gender-locks. And the subsequent disappointment at the implication, based as it may be, that that option will not be available.

Lmao get off your offense kick, dude. I was asking a question in a thread. Someone said they specifically wanted MALE VIERA instead of NO GENDERLOCKING so I asked why there would be that distinction, considering how little we know of male Viera, simple. I never said anyone had to justify anything, I was just curious. I swear with people in this thread, even if you are agreeing with people if you go against the "no genderlocking" idea at all people will argue with you.

Just here to add my voice to the chorus. The lack of male Viera wouldn't make me unsubscribe, not even close. But I'd be heavily disappointed in such a choice. The only slight saving grace to me would be if the male-only race (Hrothgar?) was presented similarly to the Viera (ie, beautiful and sexy). If you're going to deliver fanservice for one gender, I'd like to see it for the other too, please.

That said, if we got two full races (one beautiful and one bestial) that would be amazing!

I honestly would not want a sexy lion man. Someone posted those fanarts of dreamboat Scar from the Lion King and I was appreciative of the look, but I wouldn't want to have just another human-like race except with a mane. I'm with the Byakko-looking hopefuls camp.

Nice sketch, I can see that working. Not beastly enough where the cutscenes will look like a joke, but enough where you obviously know they're in the between.
As for Viera, I don't know. Some of the art posted was really well done for me. I think it was the full coloured version of the Veena - white-haired. And another piece with the braids and facial tattoo. Of course, my personal preference is for them to be stoic like, rather than cute. Something sad about having a bunch of cutie patootie boys in a wood that lives and dies alone. But eh, that's my personal preference.

Would be nice if they give us a little bit of that hint of beast/Mithra nose, even if the humanize the face mostly. Or Pantera even has a little bit of that different nose skin.
