Congratulations Square-Enix, you decided to kill the game before the next expansion is even officially out. Man Stormblood is nothing but disappointment from balance changes, to lackluster dungeon count, along with lackluster 8 player raid this expansion(24 man raid is the only salvageable thing and maybe Eureka but that's a mixed bag...).

Also GMs are just going to go full permaban because they don't like someone and their opinions because as it stands GMs are only going to care about being payed from handing out permabans until Square-Enix realizes that they lost all of money from this new rule that they put into into place which might as well be violating the very rule it set...

And Shadowbringers had better be as hype as people are making it out to be because my expectations are on the floor much like the bar Square-Enix set for Stormblood launch, and this much salt is enough to fill 20 Lochs...

What is says is expressions that COMPEL a playstyle are offensive and punishable. Compel = to force, as in give no other choice but to play a certain way.

Telling people that DPS is too low and they need to improve is NOT punishable. That's not forcing a playstyle.

EDIT: The Japanese word used on the their version of the policy change is "kyouyou suru", which means to coerce, extort or force someone to do something.

Also read the account penalty policy that is linked in the original post. There are five levels of penalty before someone is permabanned IF they are repeatedly reported and those reports are upheld.

The first two levels are "caution" and "warning", and there is no requirement that your next penalty will be more severe (unless you've already been banned before).

Then three levels of temporary bans.

If someone gets reported and judged to be in the wrong that many times, I highly doubt they are just being unfairly targeted. Especially if (as has been said in regards to the new system) the GM will be investigating the reporter as well, to get both sides of the story.

Well police officers get bonuses depending on how many tickets they hand out. Doesn't sound so far fetched to me.

One major difference is that handing out tickets results in more money being paid to the government body the police is serving. Banning paying customers so that they can no longer use the service results in less money being paid to the body employing the GMs.
Also, for police officers, tickets is one way of telling how much work they're actually doing. For GMs whose work is all online there are other ways to do that.

Sounds like dissent against so called progressive views is a bannable offense. Nothing more. A faux social justice attempt from a company whose allowing the wrong people to run the social side of their game. Youll bleed subs over this. Mark my words. How sad. FF has a wonderful community. Yet clearly someone is LYING and pretending there is some kind of toxic chat occurring on a regular basis. Siding with people who cant handle negativity or dissent is plain evil.
