anyways allow me to enlighten this thread.

In Final Fantasy II, and III, White Magic consist of many spells such as Aero and Aeroga. Stoneskin can be considered as earth, wind can also be considered for blink, and water potency effects cure in ffxiv. In addition, some final fantasy titles did not have the spell shell. white mage in past final fantasy titles also had confuse, mini and toad.

The more you know.
its not an issue of who learns the spells, its an issue that who learns the spells is split up, no one job learns all the elemental spells. and the fact that to do a combo like stone->stonera, im required to do a non AOE then AOE spell, when most times i cant cast an AOE spell unless i want to die. the structure of non AOE vs AOE is not balanced at all anymore it doesnt make sense.
and since spells like protect have an AOE effect without a description of AOE and other spells like cure have a despcription of AOE it makes it very confusion as to how to plan buffing and healing on an AOE standpoint.
all im saying is the old system of spells was better, select AOE upon casting, or have seperate AOE spells alongside regular spells, but this way just makes no sense
