Regarding the Revision of the Prohibited Activities and Account Penalty Policy

Prohibited actions: “use of third-party tools” and “modifications” does this vague information include the use of Reshade and players using mods such as armor mods or texture mods? Another example being someone created an FFXIV mod that looks like a dress from another game but replaces the glade tunic or some other in game piece of gear client side? These activities do not hinder other players nor give an advantage in game. They are simply cosmetic. I’d very much like an answer to this so I know if I can continue using these or not. Without clarification if I do get banned this would be unfair as your policy is quite vague, and no one can be bothered to answer the community. I enjoy being creative with my screenshots and taking that away when I’m not altering anything for an advantage over others isn’t fair.

And what about FFLogs? lol. That's very definitely a third-party tool. Not that I would bemoan the demise of FFLogs. I would quite welcome it, in fact.

FFlogs is a third party website though, so technically its just as allowed or disallowed as the wiki or any other item database.

Which is a totally different thing, technically the tool used is against the rules, nothing about the website itself is against the rules.

Without the tool though, FFLogs would be empty.

Yeah, the website is fine, but if nobody can use the tool without breaking the ToS, then the website itself is useless. Unless you really want to risk years of work just to parse your DPS....

I, for one, wouldn't but meh. That's just me.

Just remove the watermark and don't throw the screenshots on places where SE will be likely to see it, such as these forums, tweeting with the ffxiv tag, ect. Keep it personal, share with friends through discord/skype/PM's.

SE will never say it's okay to use third-party tools that interact with their game.
All of those things are used at your own risk.
