RIP EXP. RIP patience. I am d o n e. Is it petty of me to say that I hope they didn't clear the raid after all that? Because I kind of hope that they didn't.

You weren't the elitest there. They were projecting so hard I'd use them for my next PowerPoint presentation.
I really hope there was a report and blacklist galore. I would have gone on a blacklisting spree myself.

My blacklist was empty about a month ago. I decided to start putting people in there who are rude, trolling or just plain terrible in general. Not talking you're standard rookie, I mean the "what's Esuna?" in O12N or dancing around doing nothing instead of DPSing or doing anything else constructive in Ghimlyt.

On another note... Where have you been for all of my recent 24 man raid runs? When everyone has thrown me in the deep end (as I've only just started levelling up my DRK and it's my first tanking class) I would have killed to have you as an OT in any of my other alliances.
If I die, what's the first thing I want as a MT? For another tank to pick up the slack. What kind of monumental moron doesn't want you to... DO YOUR JOB?!?!

Just wanted to share my run earlier. Been going through several runs of The Vault to get my DRK up to 59 (hopefully 60 before maintenance tomorrow) and I get paired up with a AST, SAM and SMN.
Dungeon was going well but get to the first boss and we wipe. It's to be expected and I'm very nice about the whole thing. I'm only really salty in Eureka of all places. Haha. Anyway...
We get back to the boss and get through it. Great.
2nd boss is dying kinda slowly but I realise its because the SAM has DC'd. They are back in the fight but its already too late. Wipe. Start again. No biggie.
2nd attempt at 2nd boss is great. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Its on the way to the 3rd boss that I decide to take a look at everyone's gear.
SAM - Just on level 57 but his gear looks good. No problem.
SMN - A bit underlevelled but some gear at 57, that's alright.
AST... well. All Lvl 50, iLvl 110/120 except for one ring which was Lvl 49.
I had never popped Living Dead in a dungeon before this. I ended up popping it 7 times throughout the course of this Vault run. A simple 15 min Vault run took over 35 mins.

I'll be honest that they were doing really well with the gear that they had on and I did give them props for it. But they already had a SCH at 70. SURELY you could spare 180k and go and get the Lvl 56 stuff from Foundation just to tie you over until you hit 60...

Time to spam Gubal now. I'll try and contain my excitement to tank this... (yay)

Could you get banned for not using barely any skills at all and keep dying all the time?
Because that what i have seen in the The Ghimlyt Dark, we had 1 dps that were just auto attacking. While the first dps was using his skills from time to time, he still got grey 9% dps score, and the other dps was only 6% in score.
These guys didnt answered to us even when we asked what is going on.
It seems like those 2 were bots running a roullete... or at least 1 guy playing on 2 computers.

Idk what to think about it at all, my healer was the highest dps in the duty, what the hell.

They won't do that for one simple reason: leveling and/or guildhest roulettes. If they restrict you from entering duty based on equipping job stone, people can just unequip job stone to limit themselves to just getting the lower level dungeons/guildhests.

Then make it automatically equip your appropriate job stone when entering an instance and lock you out from Duty Finder entirely if you don't have one after unlocking your lv30+ MSQ.

True laziness however is someone showing up to level 70 content without a job crystal equipped cuz by that point literally more than 50% of the job's skills are locked behind the job crystal

One solution to this is to update the gear system so that at the very least future gear from level 70 onward would only be equippable on the job instead of both the job and the class

Cuz there is no point allowing a lancer to wear dragoon armor when they'd be denied more than 50% of essential Dragoon skills obtained from level 30 onward,all it does is just award lazy players and trolls while punishing the rest of the party

Seeing a lancer on Ghymlit Dark is absolutely unacceptable cuz they drag down the entire party with them ruining the entire run in the process and making the burden of the tank and healer even worse cuz enemies aren't dying fast enough to make up for the tank's loss in HP and the healer's loss in mana

This second story made me angry.

Honestly, I should have called my healers out sooner. I wouldn't let that slip away. I stopped being nice to people like that long ago. This once again proves my point that ones calling the "elitists" out are, more often than not, the most toxic players.

Additionally, I would have reported the players insulting you. I'm very sorry this happened to you...

OK! I finally had a 2nd run worthy of being put in this thread.

Great Gubal Library NM, I queue as an AST cause I was leveling it (leveling roulette) and get dropped into a 27 minute party in progress greeeaattt. No worries I thought, I'm not a master healer but I can heal normal current tier raids with no problem, lets do it! I get in and while I dont remember the total comp there was a WAR, AST (me), RDM, and another DPS.

After I queue in I notice they are past the 2nd boss and making their way to the third. When I got in they were in the middle of a mob pull along the way (cool cool at least they have the ability to keep going without a healer) so I warp over to them and since its a 3 mob pull I throw a regen on the WAR and begin to dps the mobs. everything dies and we start to make our way to the next pull. We grab 2 groups of mobs this time (its that wierd part that is gated so you have to kill a few mobs before it unlocks before you go down the stairs to the final boss room) We get through the last gate and pull the rest of the mobs. I put another regen on the WAR along with an enhanced Bole (200%), and start casting gravity spam. If the WAR health drops below 50% I throw out an Essential Dignity and regen (if the other one has worn off) and continue to dps. WAR health drops below 40% once during a cast so i finish the cast and then get him back up to full. In the meantime I guess the RDM got too worried and started throwing out like 10 Cercures on the tank. The tank them puts in chat.

"Dont bother."

Ok cool I thought, he notice that he's good and doesnt need the extra heals form the RDM. We keep going and upon entering the boss fight I do the typical pad the tank opener and begin to dps. Tank then jumps in party chat to say:

Tank: "Stop healing me, your not our healer anymore, the RDM will heal me."
Me: "Uhhh what are you on about?"
Tank: "The RDM had to keep me alive while you were casting gravity on 2 mobs."

Now...thats a true statement, but one of the 3 mobs died while I was in the middle of my gravity cast sooooooo whatever.

Me: "Ohhhh is that all lol."
Tank: "We kicked the last healer for not healing and we will do the same to you."
Me: "Well thank you RDM for jumping in right there. I appreciate the backup!"
Tank: "No...YOU are the backup."

We keep going in the fight and the Other DPS dies to taking like 3 AOE at the same time so I switf-rez him but he doesnt accept.

Tank: "You have 2 other healers at 70 and you play like this?!?"

The tank then takes a TB and an AOE to the face with no cooldowns in dps stance and dies (of course my fault silly me). I rez the tank and he doesnt accept either.

RDM then DCs and its all on me. NOW I could do the regular thing and just reset the instance, but I know for a fact that thesae guys are buliies and would kick me after we were out of combat so I decide YOLO and solo the boss from 10% by myself! YOU RIGHT MR WAR WITH 2 HEALERS AT 70 I DO PLAY LIKE THIS (THIS BEING ME CARRING YOUR SALTY A$$ THROUGH THIS FIGHT)

Fight ends and healer loot drops (lol) I thank everyone for the party (I think I'm just being a troll at this point)

Tank: "Its pleabs like you that ruin this game for everyone, get your sh*t healer and trash playstyle out of my party."

I get the loot and bail. Harassment report filed and my blacklist got 2 new members! woot woot!

Bismarck (Hard) in Trial Roulette.

One of the DPS (A Red Mage) refuses to get up on the boss's back, causing him to do zero damage.

When told to get up on the whale's back he's all "I'm ranged, i don't need to" and then goes right back to being useless.

This repeats two more times, with incredibly low DPS overall causing the islands durability to become dangerously low.

Then he manages to backflip off the platform.

Red Mage (Falling to his death): FUUUUUUUU-

Me: Not like you were helping with the boss anyway, so no loss there.

Some other guy: Dude chill, are you always this much of a pain in the ass?

Me: You try wasting countless hours of your life wiping on the same simple thing over and over and over because people refuse to learn even after being given clear instructions and see how much patience you have left after putting up with it for over two years.

A third guy: Lul.

We very narrowly manage to clear it in the end with the island a single hit away from breaking, moments before the boss was gonna throw us all off again.

I got two comms out of the whole debacle.

I admit, i got a bit salty when that Red Mage refused to contribute and snarked at him when he suicided, but really, can you blame me for getting frustrated?

Second story is from last night...

I try very hard not to get angry when I read stuff on the internet, but this instance I think it's justified. I don't know this raid (yet), but to me it seems like you were doing what you should be doing, that you had crappy healers, a ridiculous "MT" with e-peen issues and a whole heap of arse biscuitry put upon you. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. And even if you weren't doing what you should be doing, how hard would it be for someone to actually say, "hey, could you maybe do X instead of Y if Z happens again?" I mean, how to behave decently is clearly lost on those people for whom teamwork is just another random word in the dictionary that they don't understand. *sigh*

if I see s***heads like that tank I'd personally just bite the penalty and let them waste their time waiting for a new healer

Tho I admit you carrying them and soloing the last 10% of a boss was hilarious xD
