    Quick idea I just had.

I'm not sure if I posted this in the correct place but if I didn't just tell me where to. I did put this into suggestions under contact us in game but I dont know if those are a garbage chute or a legitimate place to post suggestions for future ideas.

Yoshi-p said in the paris fanfest that if you had ideas to improve the game to tell him what they were but I doubt he ment to tweet him personally your ideas. so heres my idea

In FFXIV there are many items no longer available either because the code from buying the physical merchandise expired or from a limited promotion that is no longer running. People who have missed these items would like to acquire these items in some way.

Your game also lacks effective gold sinks. Every day more gold pours into the economy then is taken out and it leads to higher and higher prices.

One way to combat this is to make something similar to the black market auction house that wow has. You could sell the items no longer acquirable such as the cloud mount or the bahamut minion or the white fat chocobo in lets say the goblin marketboard and they would cost ALOT of gold and it would siphon some gold out of the economy. I envision it having only 1-2 items per week and they randomly change. You could also add out of season items like seasonal fireworks at a cheap but still more expensive price then when they are in season. Unlike the wow version I don't think the item should get removed from the board when bought.

Or you could just add all those items to the mog station either way I just want the chance to get items I was unable to get because I did not play the game at the time of their release.

So, the only thing I've found on the store that's still available (as part of the original AMAZON special), is the FFXIV in game Maid and Butler outfits on the mogstation. They used to be part of a set bundle that included the Ifrit and Titan face masks. If you bought them with (I think it was $30 worth of stuff from Amazon at the time), you'd get the code sent to your games library on Amazon, and then enter that code into the mogstation.

Most of the other items like the White Fat Chocobo and Journey set (and nimbus flying cloud mount) have been discussed a lot over the years. One in particular that has been asked about before - https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...y_this_in_the/

Hopefully those will return, or a collector's edition (in recent) will be applicable in the future for other FFXIV players without having been able to purchase it. But, since the maid and butler outfits were added, it's quite possible that we'd see them appear on the mogstation as well (although overly priced. yikes).

Gil only matters when it comes to housing. Every thing else is just player greed and I'd rather keep it that way. Hated how in FFXI some of the end game stuff requried huge amounts of gil or the only way to get gear was from crafters... which was just player greed again.

As for the items... Mogstation is probably where they will end up.

While this is definitely an outlet for that more or less, not a lot of ideas from Western players are taken into consideration without a LOT of people screaming it.

Most stuff like that winds up in Mog Station a year or so afterward depending on whatever it was released for. Holiday items are usually a year after their release in the game, while items from other promotions are rarer and typically take longer.

As for physical codes, that's entirely the fault of who had it, and there's not really any need for liability on SE's part.

Housing, crafting (especially endgame gear overmelding), the glamour scene, regular expenses like travelling and maybe a good number of potentially creative ways to donate to those who aren't total gillionaires. While there could be more gil sinks, it's a lot easier for rich players to learn how to be more inventive with their money.

Imagine if WoW sold titles like "Hand of A'dal" or "Scarab Lord" on the Black Market. Sounds silly, but that's around the same value as that of some once-in-a-lifetime items, meaning that if the wrong item is put up there, a lot of players--especially some of the most faithful to the game--will get pissed. What makes matters worse is that there's not really a definitive list to determine "prestige level" for items, so anytime an item would be put up there would be a shot in the dark as far as who might get upset over it.

Also, any item that winds up there is an item that isn't on Mog Station, meaning that SE would lose profit.

They get added to Mog Station when it's the season for it. Whatever makes the most money, even if that means holding it until the season where they know people will want it, that's where SE goes.
