Will Apartment owners ever be able to crossbreed plants?

maybe a better option would be to add a market garden zone/s in Gridania that allows anyone to pay for a small plot to grow plants over a time period or till not used for a time period
then there is no ties to housing and the kettle of worms that are tied to it

I mean ul'dah has the gold saucer and limsa has the wolves den so why not a community garden zone in gridania

In favor of this! Or, if they wanted to keep it tied to housing somehow, it could be part of the apartment setup instead of in Gridania, and you just need to own an apartment to use it (much like the chocobo stable there).

They said something about user controlled farms during the NA FanFest Keynote. Then joked that farmer wasn't one of the new jobs. I'm hoping this will allow people to grow anything they would in the outdoor garden plots at houses without having to own a house. Maybe we'll get more information on it before Shadowbringers, maybe we'll just have to wait for July to find out more about it.

They also said something at EU FanFest that hinted minions are tied to the farms in some way. They may not be farms for crops, they might be more like zoos or livestock ranches for breeding new minions to sell to other players.

We really need more information, they've been too vague.
