Ambiguous date format on market ward price history

The current date format (DD/MM/YYYY) is ambiguous; in some countries, 05/02/2012 is commonly interpreted as February 5, 2012, while in others, it is commonly interpreted as May 2, 2012.

Please change the date format to YYYY/MM/DD (ISO 8601 standard). This is unambiguous and consistent across many different locales, and is commonly used in international date formatting for precisely that reason.

How about they just design it to reflect what you have set in windows ?

Hmmm, DD/MM/YYYY works fine for me as I'm from Europe.

You Americans have to do everything different eh ? drive on the wrong side of the road, put your dates back to front, whats next ?

I'm not asking to "change it to American" (MM/DD/YYYY) as that would obviously create the same problem for people who are used to DD/MM/YYYY.

I'm asking for it to be changed to the international standard (ISO 8601), which is YYYY/MM/DD. ISO exists to resolve issues exactly like this one.

Yea I know you weren't, but why don't you want it to be set by the opertaing system like every other MMO out there ?

That way if you have US settings set in windows it will display that way in the game and if you are in JP or EU it will display the correct way for that region.

    JP is Y/M/D anyways.

I don't want my date displayed differently, D/M/Y is fine.

    They are ?

That is a more complicated solution than simply using the international standard. And to be honest, I'd prefer YYYY/MM/DD over MM/DD/YYYY (the US setting) anyway, because it's the international standard.

    Standards exist for a reason.
