I totally understand your feeling in that matter than I am just a bit invested with that data topic, since I have currently to do with that kind of people and law logic that is all. Not to mention that any law suit about that kind of stuff is kind of silly to do if you are not a shady lawer company, but some people really must in worst case discuss stuff like that. Anyway enough from my side to that topic as well special since I just wanted to point out that tehese laws have better chances than a copyright law case and than someone insisted to have sources from me.

If there's anything they should copyright takedown, it's those subscription-based botting programs people use on a regular basis. They're directly profiting off of SE's product, not just getting ad revenue.

Then again, even if they did, it would only be a temporary setback considering what happened with the WoW bots (They were issued a cease and desist and forced to shut down their websites but eventually returned under a new name, which would've forced them pursue legal action all over again).

Is it really toxicity if someone calls you out when you're a 380ilvl SAM in a farm party and you're doing 4k dps? Why should other people carry you? Why should other people waste their time because you obviously don't know the mechanics of your job? Or is it also toxicity if you're in a dungeon and you're not using your aoe abilities? I mean, how dare those people tell me to get a better grasp on the basic mechanics of my job.
Besides, people who do log runs specifically state so in PF and if you're someone who's struggling with dps or doesn't care about your personal logs, you have no business being in those groups anyway

I wish I had pugs pulling 4K dps! Today specifically I had monks doing 2k dps (both heakersbdis more damage) a Sam doing maybe 3.5, and more often than not the ranks on top. Why even bring dps classes at all if your warriors will do double your damage throughout the fight!?
But these players go on, probably still unaware that they’re dragging parties down, all because I didn’t feel like bringing it up in game and likely starting an argument. I just want to farm my primal and move on. ORZ

That's the problem. Many players don't want others to see their flaws and don't want to get better. They just want to enter pf and let other players carry them through content without being held accountable for their performance.

There are some like that. But in most cases, I expect it's not that they want a carry. They just want to enjoy the game at their own pace and don't like it when others try to shame them for it. Maybe they do struggle with Savage, etc, but they aren't trolling or asking for a carry either. It's the other players who assign the "just wants a carry" label to them in frustration.

Since the creation of this thread, FFLogs has actually begun using several FFXIV art assets not included in this fan kit. Several boss images and other art cropped from in-game. As far as I can tell the legal liability remains and my point still stands.
