I had one of those healers once. They didn't type but they did make it VERY clear they weren't going to do anything but healing. So I dropped tank stance and stood in all the aoes. You wanted to just heal? Well then, let me give you something to heal.bleugh, that brings memories of a white mage I met on Stone Vigil that will NOT DPS or cast any other supporting spells at all..........they literally stood there for almost the whole dungeon doing absolutely nothing till the tank's HP goes below half or a DPS get hit by an aoe.
I wouldn't go THAT far to spite them tho xD,maybe I'd blacklist some so I wouldn't run into them again or,in my case, become a red mage if their healing sucks cuz recently on alliance raids I can't count the many times healers didn't top us off and had to vercure myself and others before the room-wide aoes kill my small lalafellian butt xD.
Not to mention the many times I verraised on Ivalice raids which btw consumes a lot of mana

Well then, just had the best Ghimlyt dark run in... ever!
AST, DRG, SMN, all three damage monsters. Trash pulls would barely live long enough for my Inner Release Steel Cyclone spam (where some groups are so slow that I can have IR ready for every pull), and the second boss almost died before the second time it burrows underground. It had pretty much just one hit left in it, and we could even have done that, but I didn't press Upheaval in time. >_<
Run took 13 minutes or so to complete. Went SO SMOOTH. Wish I could find such competent people all the time.
The dungeon is like that, i believe they intentionally made it much easier in comparison to other lvl 70 dungeons.Well then, just had the best Ghimlyt dark run in... ever!

Mine gone that quick as well.

Yeah it's easy. I just constantly get stuck with... Samurai who do no AoE, Bards who don't DoT, White Mages who don't use Holy (or DPS at all sometimes), Black Mages doing level 50 rotation, Monks who use Tornado Kick on cooldown with no move to recover with from that, cardless Astros, and Red Mages who insist on using the single-target sword combo on packs of 8 enemies, just to name the ones I can recall as definitely having happened more than once.
This felt like the first time ever I was matched with a full group of people who were actually competent. Usually runs there take around 20 minutes because there's someone who's not playing their class even at a moderately competent level. As opposed to Burn/Arboretum, where I tend to get people who know what they're doing, and get out in 15 or so minutes. It's a weirdly consistent thing.

Just be aware that can also backfire on you... they haven't done it in awhile in recent memory, but when Weeping City was brand new... during the add phase of the 2nd boss, it was extremely helpful/necessary? to Stun a move by the Succubus (think Beguiling Mist)... thing is she could only be stunned like once before she resisted it. So if early stuns were thrown out then quite a few ppl would get hit by the mist when she did it, and then things could potentially snowball from there and lead to wipes...
But yah, there are a ton of things that can be stunned/silence'd in game that a lot of ppl seemingly never bother with... I've become suspicious that most of the melee dps players I encounter in Roulettes don't even have it on their hotbar...

Had a mch in my run i ghimlyt yesterday who was useing single target on packs of 8 the warrior was pulling.Yep not one aoe skill and to top it off he only used rook turret on big packs. Not single song used.Died 3 times first boss to same mechanic.3 times second boss to same mechanic.Twice on last boss.
I really wish there was a way in duty finder i could block being teamed up with players from Moogle server.

According to my WHM main friend, some tanks take offense to Holy Spam. I don't know if it disrupts their aggro lead or outright yanks it but she's been both told and shirked for it so she only really does it when our tank is tanking. Me, on the other hand reserve Thin Air and the spell speed buff (i can never remember ability names) specifically for that. *shrugs*On another note, why are so many White Mages so reluctant to use Holy in expert? I've now had 6 or 7 in a row who will only Holy one or two pulls in the entire dungeon, and NEVER before the first boss. And it's not a case of too much healing needed, these same WHMs will be happily casting Stone IV or even spamming Aero III.
The only thing I know off off the top of my head is that DRK has an ability that makes them regen MP from taking damage, and if it's up at the same time as holy spam, they don't get any MP back. As a PLD I can't think of any reason I wouldn't want a healer using holy. Does damage and reduces incoming damage via stunning so what's not to love?According to my WHM main friend, some tanks take offense to Holy Spam. Her main detractors seem to be Warriors. I think its mostly just pugs who don't know what they are doing but it's gotten to the point that she'd rather just forego the drama. I'm less invested in healing overall so I still Holy spam whenever I have the opportunity.
