Collector's Edition Concerns

Usually Japanese developers are better about being honest with what your getting. At this point there are next to no companies I will pre-order from; Square is one of the few that I will. Ultimately the question to ask is more "do I want the physical goodies?"; I'm debating it myself. That will be a decision made off how good my tax refund is this year.

Idk Capcom has been pretty egregious with their collectors editions with DMC5 being the most recent one. It is a "luxury" brand after all and I am always very aware of "fluff cost" that most CE's tend to have. To those who are considering the CE also know that you will be getting HW and SB with it regardless of if you currently own it or not. However to me this is just a bit too rich for my blood but I do draw the line at $200 CAD.

In all fairness Capcom isn't the best anyways, they try and act as the western devs do and take a ton of shortcuts when possible. Square, Nippon Ichi and Nintendo are both more of what I was referring to.

Took a look at the items at Fanfest and looks nice enough. What they showed off is more or less what you'll get (think they tweaked the Zenos slightly between first showing and release?), but all items are as advertised. The quality is as you see it, stream showed it fairly well in my opinion. But nothing like getting a booklet instead of hardcover book or whatever, what you see is what you get
