What job is Y'shtola in 5.0?

Also to expand on what i said earlier and perhaps far fetched but looked at trailer again.
We know we will become Warrior of Darkness so could the 2 characters (Urianger and Y'shtola) also be dark versions?
I prefer what i said earlier tbh but just putting ideas out there. It is fun

This is just my thoughts. If we are to become the warriors of darkness, then what would become of Thancred, Y'shtola, and Urianger? If we had to become the opposite of the warrior of light, maybe we are looking at their opposites?

Thancred used to be I guess a rogue(quiet and sneaky). but now a loud tank?

y'shtola used to be a healing class (so it seemed) but now is what appears to be a black mage but clearly is a new job. I'm guessing its one of the two

• Magus - I am leaning towards this as black mage was needed before acquiring this in final fantasy 4.
• Sage - Not so much as this job uses both White and Black mage separately. Remember Tellah?

Urianger - Was this guy ever on the light side? I remember the mess he got us into with that other warrior of darkness. This guy is darkness certified!

Watching bits of the presentation again, they talked about Y'Shtola a lot, repeatedly saying she was "like" a black mage. I think I'm on the sage side now, especially with the Crystal Eye set in Matoya's staff.

It might also be worth noting that it's a job Yoshida talked about previously as one considered for XIV, I think way back when AST was revealed.

Which would go against what little we know about Geomancers in the game as they seem to be a cross between whm and Ast.

There was fire attack in Swallow's Compass and that's a geomancy dungeon. Also, this would make sense as Y'shtola was a conjurer/white mage, so being a geomancer at least makes it a relatable job.

That said, I don't think the trailer shows Y'shtola doing any spell, fire or otherwise.

But that was done by a mercenary and not by a geomancy construct where those did earth, wind and water. It's also the only time I want to say we see any fire. Also the one Geomancer we do meet didn't use any fire and yes she's didn't use any spells. They seemed to be in a forest fire for some reason we won't know til june/july.

Black Mage.. But it's not Y'shtola - it's Matoya using Y'shtola's younger body to fight while her soul is absent from it.
Can you picture the old hag hobbling along in battle? I sure can't. :P
