To those who say BLU should be Limited yet want Male Viera

You are the only person ignoring what people are saying. The jobs that arn't limited are always being adjusted for balance but they were designed to be jobs. Blu was designed to be limited because as yoshi p said many times before eventually caving to people on the forms. Blu does not work in this mmo to fit in the other jobs unless they made it blu in name only. Which would only produce more salt then it already did.

Race and classes are different. There is more merit in people being upset over gender lock race then a limited class because it being genderlock is it being gender lock with no reason. Male bunnies would not break the game. Blu being a normal job comes with lots of problems.

I don't really see what is the point of comparing a playable race being possibly genderlocked (possibly, because we know nothing for certain as of now) and a job being Limited.

They don't even fall in the same category. How can someone draw a comparison? "BLU is limited, thus Vieras should be genderlocked"? What? Why? How?

Viera isn't a new type of content though, BLU is. The argument against BLU is that it's content style is separate from the other jobs, and some people don't like that and wish that it was in line with the other jobs.

Hmm. So if female Viera was banned from using the glamours and hairstyles everyone else can use and instead had a very small selection of female Viera exclusive glamours and hairstyles that are obtained by killing primals hundreds of times, then the gender locking would be acceptable. Right?

What if DRK suddenly became limited, became a DPS with HP draining Darkside and what not? A limited SMN that can summon any Primal like Demi-Bahamut? Or does Gunbreaker should of be revealed to be limited for people to listen to what I'm saying instead of circle around the same thing?

Would be interesting to see, but I know no existing job would go from standard to limited since it'd be easier just to make other limited jobs like Beastmaster or Puppetmaster since the aim for devs for limited jobs is to bring new things in that players want that wouldn't fit the mold for standard player jobs.

Also OP, just for your attitude in this thread, I'm happy that Blue Mage is a limited job, especially knowing that it's designed to be an experiment: a "what if" scenario allowing players to test abilities and mechanics they wouldn't normally have access to for the purposes of both seeing what players do with them as well as collecting potential data that could help create abilities and mechanics for future job content. The reason why they are limited is not only because of the degree of toxicity players can express (like you have been for example), but also because making it limited provides a more suitable testing environment that wouldn't cause undue burden on other players just trying to get through their content.

As for male viera, doesn't matter too much to me since I'm not as big a fan, but I suspect that they're likely still in development and devs were just rushed to get that information out because of all the stuff they need to cover for the Tokyo Fanfest.

Viera doesn't add new gameplay. No matter how you look at it, the comparison is irrelevant

I kindof see where he's coming from to be honest. And just looking at it from that side I see his point. Tho the problem with his point is it ONLY works on a very strict black and white level. If limiting is bad it's bad for EVERYTHING. But sadly we dont live in a black and white only world. Both issues are different and really can't be compared on a black to white level. We're dealing with greys here and both have their own issues that dont really cross paths.
