Viera Race "Confirmed" for 5.0! Are you gonna change races?

Mmm... I'll going with the more elegant but fierce/feral look Fran has since Viera are awesome like that and kick butt in high heels! That, and I'm hoping Viera get facial scars. My Miqo'te has a facial scar that's been over her left eye since the release of 2.0 and I hope I somehow get to carry that over when I fantasia her to Viera!

While they went with the fanservice appeal of FFXII I did notice that their ears are more fluffy and frayed at the top like FFTA, and their facial expressions are soft too. Another thing to notice is their body proportions more closely resemble a hyur but that's probably to make gear easier to convert for viera. They also seem to lack their clawed fingers.

While I'm not a fan of the skimpy FFXII style outfit we can wear any clothes we like. And there will be all new outfits too, so hopefully some are inspired by older designs.

The Vianga was a funny joke, it also looked something like what people were asking for by taking things to an extra extreme. Their actual design seems very reasonable and has some nice touches like those ears.

I am now leaning towards a change, I will wait for the Benchmark dealo thingy to see if I'll spend my last fantasia on it, though.

Now that you mention that, I'm gonna fix that with my own Viera by wearing the finger claws gear from GS!

Also, thanks for pointing out the FF Tactics Viera ear features thingy; sadly I would never have noticed that without you mentioning it. I really should play that game sometime. :'3 Makes the FFXIV ears feel way less head-scratching weird to me! Though I'm still hoping to get Fran's ears. ....I want hers and to be able to maximize their length to see how long they'd get....if ear size is changeable along with being able to pick specific different ear types seperate from the head. *looking at you Au'ri*

Yep I like that they went with somewhat of a combination of styles. I think they already mentioned different ear styles but I don't know if it will be hair attached or not. Another thing to wait and see about is their earring adornment because some of the old viera art shows multiple earrings. Hopefully that will be an option too.

Ooooh, I hope it isn't ear attachment! Well, I'll still be happy and get over it regardless, but it would be a nice touch if our ears aren't attached to hairstyle. XD

Oh yeah!!!! :O That'll defintely be a great aesthetic to add for Jandeline's thingy in the...extra features(?)menu. I forget what it's called but I could defintely Viera look tougher with that!

This is a fair question. I would hope they do give us a single freebie, but I won't hold my breath. I keep hoping for 3 free Retainers despite the cries of our inventory issues, but they don't relent on that at all.
