yeah, the wipe and raise hate reset exploit is nice. the fight is ok, but it is way too slow paced early on for my tastes. i play as mage primarily and hate seeing the changes that have been being made to them.

the combo's are very nice when i played as dd, but the mage combo's are really bad. the dd starts a combo and can continue the combo throughout without any extra tp costs, but a thm for example casting the combo's will spend close to 1500mp because each spell gets charged. this leads to one burst combo then standing around and waiting for quite a while doing absolutely nothing.

personally i much preferred the ifrit battle. as a mage i had plenty of abilities i could be casting to make me more involved in the battle. now it's more standing and waiting than it is actively participating in the fight.

i'm not saying the moogle battle itself is bad, but that it is much more fun to play it as a dd than as a mage. dd's took major steps forwards in this patch, but i really feel playing as a mage has taken multiple steps backwards.
