Viera Race "Confirmed" for 5.0! Are you gonna change races?

hey so cool viera trailer but uh.. there better be male viera what the heck. This would totally be a step backwards after they went through the trouble of adding male Roe and Miqote..

They needed to have a female model at least partially done for Fran, so it makes sense that they'd be done first, if only to build excitement with preorders opening in a few days. With Yoshida being so coy about them, I can only assume he's stringing people along and the males will be shown either tomorrow or at Tokyo.

But he replied to people asking about males with "look forward to Japan" so I take it they're gonna show them in 2 months.

Hope that can lessen the salt for people trying to backlash against them lol

To design a new race you'd have to design and make a body and skeleton long before working on the gear and animations. I don't think they'd give themselves only a few months too start work on that.

This will be the first time anyone is seeing males of this race and they're a Japanese company ... Of course they will save some big reveals for the Japanese event.

I interpret this in two ways
1. We are getting two variations of viera just like how hyurs have two variants (midlanders and highlanders) - Tall viera that we saw in the trailer, and short viera that look like young elezen
2. The variation of viera they were talking about is really just a male viera - and it so happens that male viera tend to be shorter than female viera
