To those who say BLU should be Limited yet want Male Viera

You got what you wanted, and I'm tired of the hypocrisy and of the "f- you, got mine" attitude in this community. You justify BLU being in a broken mess, no endgame, no relevancy, and say "look forward, more to come, it's not finished" because it's "true to its job and has incompatible gameplay. I say, No, Limiting jobs is never good, it's a terrible idea for "new content", and now that it looks like Viera is limited (no male Viera) you get what you asked for. You want something incompatible with Lore and so you are rewarded with such.

If you try to justify why male Viera should be allowed through "look at male catbois, they are allowed despite Lore" welcome to how us Blue Mages feel with jobs like SMN and RDM who are allowed to be unlimited yet have gameplay that is not quite representative or feels "incomplete."

Put an end to limiting stuff, ask for everything to be avaliable for everyone, don't show apathy.

Tl:dr, don't be hypocrits on why BLU should be limited while Male Viera shouldn't, and aks for everything o be avaliable for everyone.

Viera isn't a new type of content though, BLU is. The argument against BLU is that it's content style is separate from the other jobs, and some people don't like that and wish that it was in line with the other jobs.

Viera is new content, it's a new aesthetic and race that'll change how people see their character. Sure, changes nothing pure gameplay wise but it's still the same reasoning and arguments.

Aesthetics matter to a lot more people than actual content content, and both Viera and Blue Mage have already been done before in other games and styles. Yet, FFXIV isn't allowed to do its own variation because of suddent want to stay true to what makes a job the job (lol Summoner).

It's also completely out of touch to what people have been saying and wanting for years as well yet SE feels they can just ignore all of that and half ass it.

And guess what, while getting skills is different, BLU still plays like any other caster at level 50, with it only being OP on low level content.

Thing is the difference between Blu and male Veira is you can have a discussion about blu and its implementation (i'm for opening it up to df so long as it has a few changes as its fun imo) whereas male Veira their is no good leg to stand on arguing against it's implementation you try to justify with lore looks at male miqo'tes don't like look of what it might look like that is your opinion just don't play it SE are actively avoiding any mention of it by staying quiet this will only create unrest

It's two completely different issues though. Blocking a playable race into one gender is going against the entire reason SE rehashed Mithra and Galka and gave them playable male and female versions respectively. Where BLU is simply a mechanical part of the game that honestly shouldn't affect someone's individualism while playing the game whether or not it's limited, gender locks are a huge issue. Especially for people who are uncomfortable playing as a certain gender and really want to play the newly implemented race. Could you imagine the outcry if it's confirmed that Viera are female only? Think about all the threads whining about gender locked clothes being consolidated into one thread then multiplied by a thousand.

You can change jobs for free. But you can't change races without spending money or playing the game for at least a month. You can't swap your human ears for bunny ears at the aesthetician. You can't change your size there either.

On another note, be aware that it is canon that Male miqo'te of the Keepers of the Moon clan are very rare as NPCs. About as rare as Male Viera are suspected to be. Because it has a powerful Matriarchy. They were based directly off of the Mithran lore where the females hunted and often left home and the males were coveted and remain either at home or close to home. So we can use this to assume that just because they only featured the females (which is honestly all these horny little idiots who licked YoshiP's boots for 5 years even care about) and just because the lore dictates that males are "hidden" doesn't mean that they will be nonexistent. Honestly the absence of gender equality in an entire race will cause an even bigger outcry than BLU not being a couple of people's main job in whatever they consider "real content".

Why have you played blue if you didnt like it? I havent even played it for a hour to know i dont like it.

Redmage has way more interesting design imho play him instead, the best thing you could do to inform SE that you dont like the job is to just not playing it at all.

You don't understand, this is about why Male viera should be allowed despite lore being an issue, not to mention Yoshi-Ps dislike of them (same as BLU really, yet he had the same plan years ago).

This is about wanting everything being avaliable to everyone, yet not ignoring one thing thats limited to then go to another that's also limited despite both having similar reasonings, while people go "I don't care what you have as long as it doesn't affect me."

NPC in the game says the Viera race is being formed after about 13 "namedays", and there are infact male viera who takes the care of the forest.
