If they have, link it please
I'm gonna bet it will have a name already used. Soldier, Agent, Magitek Knight....whatever. It will not be a totally new name. And I really dig that.SE: That's it! Dear players, we've found a lucrative market in this thing called salt - please look forward to it!
Watch him wear a blue mage t-shirt just because lol. Hope the gunblade job has a name like Soldier or Magitek Knight or maybe reference to a new (sort of) npc that is a Shadow Hunter.

I "hoping" for the Gunblade job to be a DPS, but "expecting" it to be a Tank. Tho we know they are reworking DRK so maybe that will be the tank of the expansion. Who knows, maybe DRK will become a DPS and the gunblade job will be a tank. *shrugs*
Viera reveal. I'm pretty sure the Au Ra were revealed at the 2nd fan fest last time we got a new race.
I'm not sure what the next job will be. Dancer, Geomancer, Arithmatician, Berserker, Gun Mage... hah! Maybe that's what the gunblade job will be called.
I think Yoshi said in a live letter that we would get the next part of the trailer at the 2nd fan fest and the full trailer at the Japan fan fest.
I think they might show some areas in game this time maybe? Did they do that before? I can't remember.
I think they will tell the 8 man raid and 24 man raid in the 3rd fan fest.
I think they will reveal Blitzball at the 3rd fan fest.
Hmm.. I'm not sure what else they will cover in the key notes. I know they will go over what they covered at the first fan fest so... there is that.
I kind of doubt they'll rework DRK so hard that it'll become a DPS...
The Gunblade class is probably going to be DPS, but then again all there really is to go by is Gaius, Regula and the last boss in the Ghimlyt Dark... So who knows...
As for a name for it, I dunno about Soldier... If looking at existing class names in other FF games, the only ones where Gunblades of any kind are relevant are Commando and Ravager from 13.

I'll take Pagos over having Logos Actions tied to relic any day...
That being said... I would rather Relics be a solo quest / instance battle type of deal or go back to the old way of doing things where they try to make old content populated again and have you do dungeons and trials and things.
Certainly something I hope for but don't expect since there is a demand for a new Tank that can drag people into the Tank role even if they are bad at that role.
The power of "looking cool" is a rather tempting motivation for players to play Tank role even if they are not good at it.
I still think if a new Tank is ever added, it needs to be about the gameplay and not focus on what "looks cool" to make a tank or else we are stuck with very generic designed tanks.

I think that's the worst argument I've heard yet (and the most transparent.) We can't have "cool" tank classes because then bad players might want to play them?Certainly something I hope for but don't expect since there is a demand for a new Tank that can drag people into the Tank role even if they are bad at that role.

1) Cool is subjective, plenty of people think that the current tanks already "look cool".
2) You want a class that people find fun/cool to play. Even if they start out bad, the more they play, the better the chance they have of learning about it. Is it guaranteed? Of course not. But I'd rather new people try and learn to tank than keep relegating it to the same fragment of the population that already tank.
3) I don't even understand the correlation - a tank can't "look cool" and have gameplay that's good/intuitive/whatever you're trying to say? If it "looks cool," it's by nature generic? Those two things sound... contradictory, to me.
Honestly, just say you want it as DPS and move on. Trying to make up reasons like "oh no, bad people might play it" doesn't make your case any better.
Besides, I don't think we need another DPS that "looks cool" - it might encourage crappy players who don't want to learn what a rotation is and who expect to be carried through the paper bags they can't even DPS through.
I don't care if another DPS is released because we already have enough DPS in general.
I am saying Tank Jobs needs to be well designed over simply being "cool" in vanity. It has always been my own opinion what makes a good Tank Job is the design of the Tank by the gameplay which requires a steady balance of how the Tank will function in its role and how it achieves it.
As long the tank is well designed in gameplay than it should not matter how "cool" it looks because that will be far better than another "Paladin" with a different "sword" and animations.

On relics, I didn't do the ARR one, the HW aside from 2 steps, it was pretty decently done. And Eureka, I haven't gotten past Pagos...
I would like them to do generally what they did with HW... Less RNG FATE drops and no hiding parts behind having to level crafting classes.

I couldn't care less how we get relics. What I want relics that actually feel like magic. Like legendary weapons in WoW. Or hell, maybe even the artifact weapons. Flat bonuses don't really scream awesome to me. And in universe the only really famous and awesome weapon is Tupsimati. Maybe Bradamante. We could really use some improvement in this regard.
