The thing is my initial post was not even about the liberation of Dalmasca but about how much we could learn about the ascians there, so I don't understand why he posted this, and why he got so many likes lol, mabye people didn't read my entire post.
Or maybe people didn't realy understand my post given how English is not my native language

So this is the map (which comes from reddit) of Othard with Dalmasca and Valnain (the capital of Valendia from Vagrant Story, also in Ivalice)
I don't think a land this huge would not be explorable.

It's established in Encyclopedia Eorzea II that, following its conquest, Dalmasca was split in two by the Garleans. Dalmasca Superior contains the majority of the desert, and its capital is Rabanastre. Dalmasca Inferior contains the territory from Greylic's Bend to the Nagxia border, Valnain, and its designated capital Lea Monde. The map's at odds with the lore book on a few things(Valnain should be on the other side of the delta, Lea Monde should be where it is, the city labeled as Dalmasca should be Rabanastre), so we'll see which is changed.

You know, all this confusion about what or where Ivalice is, just provevs my point that it should be gently laid to rest with Stormblood as we move to Shadodwbringers. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't mind staying in Othard, being the filthy weeabo I am. But I don't think RtI really worked. There are many things I prefer in SB over HW. But the Alliance Raid is not one of them. The Void Ark storyline was amazing. And I loved the design of the raid. And the lack of Allagans.

There is a definite possibility at least for one area of Dalmasca to be put in game since we are 99.9% likely getting a race from there. That said it's size means nothing. The zone we got for the Azim Steppes isn't even an inkling of its actual size, in addition there are whole regions of Eorzea we have no access too, plus of course the Islands of Sharlayan. SE has a lot to play with especially since there are still three whole continents we've not set foot on, so I wouldn't base size as a reason because we still have no indication we'll ever go to Meracydia or the New World and those are whole continents.

I don't think the Nu mou will summon Ultima again, this will make a second appearance for a boss that Ramza sacrifice his life for.

Even if they summon Ultima, the skin of Ultima from XII is based on the Balance's Zodiac. Remember Sophia ? Could be a Fusion between Ultima (XII) and Yunaleska xD.

I have absolutly no clue about the primal this time. But, what if the Nu mou are the Craft Tribe just like Namazu and Mogs ? Namazu don't have summoned a Primal yet.

Someone told earlier that the light is becoming stronger. Assuming that Garlemald and Ascians are the Darkness, and the Alliance and Us are the light, then of course the light is actually winning and overwhelming.

So for make the balance again, we have to turn as the Warrior of Darkness. But... Something's odd, The Trailer says we have to rewrite History. So what about a Jump in the past that can change anything ? Maybe a stronger version of our Power that let us do bad things in order to maintain a certain order ?

If you mean Ultima is based on the zodiac sign of 'the balance' then you're wrong.
Exodus was the Libra sign, Ultima was Virgo.

I actually did. I'm even quoting you. No ill will though.
Your ideas on the ascians is a bit stretched for me, that's why I'm replying to the most "concrete" part of your post.

Given the "transcendantal" nature of Ascians, I actually don't see why they would originate or bear strong linkages to that particular region of the world.
I think their names based on Ivalice Prophets is just "incidental", like FFXIV works in a system of references where everything that has 6 iterations parallels the six elements (the six primals for ARR for instance), so anything about 12(13) is easy to link to zodiac etc.
I believe learning about Ascians would have to go beyond our world, accros shards and lifestream for instance. Which is kinda hinted at in 4.5 trailer. I believe it is more likely, but we are still speculating.

If we spent the whole 5.0 in another shard investigating about Ascians for instance or whatever, that'd be nice for a change. In my opinion. Got it?

Thanks for the clear map ! We can also see the Greylands, which is part of Vagrant Story
I would REALLY love to see Lea Monde, this city is so mysterious ! I wonder if Mullenkamp from Vagrant Story could be a character from FFXIV, it should be amazing ! And she is a dancer, so maybe she will be related to the supposed Dancer job !

Also, this map shows that Dalmasca is the only way to Garlemald, so if in the future we will travel to Garlemald, Dalmasca could be one of the possible road.

I just thought about something else : Lea Monde in Vagrant Story is related to dark magic, and there is a Grimoire in this city (the one from Tactics Advance) that allows people to travel between dimension or stuff like that, if the Grimoire is part of the FFXIV plot, it could really be related to Shadowbringers

I believe that Mullenkamp, just like Ashley Riot, is one of the characters the Wandering Dramaturge refers to as a previous Zodiac Brave in his diatribes. With that established those characters are probably long dead.

Then again, Lea Monde is a known him of activity for the dead in VS, so... Who knows?

e: By the way, thank you folks for showing those images of Valnain, as I had not put two and two together that they were hinting at more Vagrant Story locations to be added in the future. I have a friend who is a huge VS fanboy and loves any time the game is referenced in other SE content, so this is right down our alley. I'll be highly looking forward to seeing how this develops into actual playable content at some point.
