Duty Finder and Raids

So I'm actually on Kujata, not Tonberry, but this applies to the JP data centre as a whole and the Kujata subforum is super dead. Anyway, is it just me or is it almost impossible to get the 24 mans to pop? Since from NA to JP I have noticed increased queue times for everything, but have not been successful in getting Orbonne to pop even once. As a completionist (as opposed to someone who actually enjoys raiding, for whom this might be even worse) this has me worried: did I waste +$20 on a transfer in the hopes that I would be subject to less latency during group content, only to find that I can't access said group content at all now?

I'm curious about how your timezone fits with being on a JP datacentre. Latency aside, is it the best centre for you to play on, can you be active during peak times as it is for players on that side of the world? I have an alt on Chocobo and sometimes have to play around JP friendly times but the majority of duties still popped eventually, do you have any friends/fc members you can do the content with?

I'm in Australia, so our times line up fairly closely with Japan. I'm not exactly sure what the peak times are there, but I did pop in at different times this past Saturday/Sunday, and was still unable to get Orbonne to pop.

As for friends/FC members, I don't have any of the former on Kujata, but I did eventually find an FC. The membership is a little too small to be able to run a 24 man, however.

Alrighty then, is Kujata a popular world for Aussies, was there something that attracted you to pick that one over all the others? I know that Tonberry has a big English speaking playerbase but not sure about any of the other JP worlds, of course the Duty Finder is cross-world so it shouldn't matter where you are really so I was just curious.

I'm not sure if this could be a factor, but when you register for duties, do you select multiple languages, maybe that could help? The Party Finder might be worth trying as well, even if you don't get a full alliance, could be enough to encourage players to queue up with you, plus you might make more connections as well!

The only thing that led me to choose Kujata over Tonberry was that the transfer process failed for the latter. :P I wasn't aware that language selection was an option when registering for duties, so I'll definitely be checking to see whether it's currently set to English only or some such---that would definitely explain the lack of success in finding a full party so far!
