In the end we all are gonna get dps jobs anyway. I can already imagine gunbladers never using the tank stance, and dancers keeping using dps spells instead of rezzing people, hoping that the rdm will make his dps go down instead with some verraise action.

Honestly, I'd be worried if they didn't announce a new job since at this point in time for Stormblood, we already knew about one job and were about to hear about the second.

I mean if you want to get into brass tacks, Feral might as well not exist right now.

Guardian's in about the same place. I think Balance is the only druid spec right now that can actually get into groups.

Anyway, I think it's pointless to even consider the possibility of the gunblade job or the possible DNC to be melee DPS just because tank, healer, and support are the roles that haven't seen a new addition in 4 years in addition to having the fewest jobs available.

I second this. The Alliance Raid instances looked amazing, it'd be a shame to see them go to waste moving forward. I could see somewhere like Rabanastre being a cool hub/capital.


Personal speculations; I don't really have any, I'm trying not to build up too much hype. I've been burned manyer time by overhyping and being underwhelmed with MMO news. That said, I'll lose my collective mind if they confirm DNC in any way shape or form.

The big issue I see with going to Dalmaca is it's just Alamego again, it's even the same kind of terrain and the Dalmacians we've meet so far haven't been overly likeable either.
