    I am just thinking why not give DPS Job a Dual Gunblade Job.

    Unlike the upcoming Tank Gunblade the Dual Gunblade Job uses a small Gunblade that can be wield with one hand similar to characters such as Alvin from Tales of Xillia and Cervantes from Soul Calibur series....

    I just want a class that uses a hammer, or maybe a tower shield, or maces. I'm tired of almost all melee options to be tied to slashing mechanics/gameplay. We already have PLD, WAR, DRK, NIN, SAM and soon Gunblade. I want another option for blunt damage.

    A morbidly-inclined/dark healer class, possibly combine plague/disease based status ailments with the ability to heal. Mechanic more or less based in manipulating the aether in others' bodies. Maybe at higher levels necromancer skills can be unlocked?

    A DPS class themed around clowns or jesters, skills include juggling objects and hitting foes with them as well as using acrobatic feats in tactical combinations to get higher damage. Possibly could have some combination with the Mime class where mimicry is a skill, might be able to implement that on a more temporary basis than blue mage to keep the classes separate.

    Beserker as a tank maybe? Maybe some abilities you get next level power but the character cannot be aimed or healed by players for a set time period.


    Puppeteer/Puppetmaster, you can stay at a distance and send in objects to fight for you so you don't get damage but your body is vulnerable as you do this and your HP is much lower than the objects you control.

    A gunblade alongside a main gauche actually sounds decently practical... assuming the normal nigh-unlimited ammo gimmick.

    That or a longsword with a short gunblade off-hand.

    Well I would like the Dual Gunlade DPS Job or a actual Melee Sword Mage DPS Job.

    Sword Melee Mage DPS Job and Gunblade Job are my two favorite Jobs with a actual Assassin Job as my secondary favorite.

    Red Mage is a Sword Range Mage DPS Job so it does not count since the "sword" aspect is just a gimmick mechanic that can be ignored during trials since you don't want to backflip to your death.

    It would be interesting if the Melee Sword Mage is based on WoL from FF Mobius since he is basically a Sword Melee Mage and his Iconic Job is a Swordman with magical abilities.

    Party Finder updates:

    Party Composition changed.
    -Light party now 5 players instead of 4.
    -Full party now is 10 players instead of 8.

    New role added: Support Role.

    Role actions removed from game.

    Support Role Added to game: Class with low DPS (Lower than healers). Whose skills revolve arround buffing the party and enfeebling enemies. Some are area related, others are single target. Buffs revolve arround mobility, speed, buff durations, and elemental/defensive properties. Increased effectiveness of status effects in general to make them work.

    New classes added:

    Risk Breaker (Support) - Gunblade user, garlean revolutionary faction background, linked to Ivalice and the Valendian Knights a group that wants to overthrown the imperial Royal Family.

    They fight from range with physical damage and several enfeeblements that affect single targets.
    As they reduce the target stats and afflict them from afar, their Risk bar increases, once full, they can spend it on very useful debuffs against enemies or "Break" it, filling it a second time to spend all their Risk in a single devastating blow at melee range (Renzokuken) with a high risk/high reward style of gameplay. Renzokuken will requiere players to go through an solo active time event, where paced inputs will be requiere, the better they do, their stops wont stop. They cannot move during Renzokuken or they drop it and all risk is lost.


    Tactician (Support) - Combat Brush user. (Huge two handed brush that paints aetherochemical infused ink patterns on the ground)
    They fight at melee range, using their brushes as blunt weapons (synergy with MNK) and buff the party/enfeeble enemies painting special "Grounds Patterns" on the arena, where the effects are applied, these generally cannot overlay between them, but can overaly with other field effects, even increasing the potency of several of them. They gauge is the Clarity gauge, that increases as they paint more complex patterns, they have several abilities that modify their areas and consume this clarity, at max clarity, they can either paint one massive arena wide Ground Pattern or up to 3 diferent smaller ones active at the same time. Their lore is based around Garlean dissident special forces that dedicate their war efforts to guerrilla warfare, making use of terrain to their advantage, their only chance to fight the might of the empire massive armies.

    The grounds are based on Sun Tzu's ground types, which are 9, also known as "9 situations":

    Dispersive ground; Where commanders fight on their territory - Tank defensive ground buff.
    facile ground; Enemy territory close to the frontiers with little resistance - Skill Speed ground buff.
    contentious ground; Territory of vital importance for struggling forces - When 4 or more party members are in it, Potency increase buff.
    open ground; Easy to traverse territory where no geographical features promote engage - Increased Spell Speed ground buff. Allows some cast to be made on the move. Nullifies positional requirements for certain skills.
    ground of intersecting highways; Territory that is crucial to 3 warring parties - When 2 party members and at least one enemy are on it. Slight defensive resistances down for the enemy, slight defensive resistances increased for party members.
    serious ground; Grounds deep into enemy territory where they hold advantage - Increases defensive stats in general for party members inside of it greatly.
    difficult ground; Mountains, Marshes, Swamps, difficult to traverse territory - Reduce enemy skill/spell speed, also their movement speed.
    hemmed-in ground; Treacherous paths, troops cannot really retreat - Increased potency for all skills on this ground, players that leave this ground will receive a movement penalty after.
    desperate ground; Lethal traps where no retreat is possible, like an army with its back against a deep river, on this ground the only solution is to fight - Massive potency increase for players inside this ground, players inside this ground cannot leave it.

    Chemist (Support)

    Master of aetherochemical research, prepares combat potions and salvo that can be launched from their mortars that require set up or used at single target by simple throwing. Different potions give different buffs, elemental resistances, etc. While salvo, be it used from their handgun or their mortar, enfeeble and damage their enemies. They can combo salvo or potions to diversify their effects. Like using oil bombs and then molotovs. Or throwing speed potions to players and then a wide sticky goo salvo, so players keep their normal speed and enemies are stuck/slowed down. Their lore revolve around the garlean resistance need to use ceruleum and aether together, only chance to fight the imperial technological superiority.


    For these for example, healers, tanks and DPS classes would have to sacrifice or have nerfed several of their support skills. In our current game, support and debuff is something all 3 existent roles do, in this case, those would have to be reduced/removed/nerfed in order to leave room for the Support classes to fulfill now this role, as a standalone role now. Also combat would need a lil speed up, and ground features would be gratefully added, so combat gets a bit deeper in order to make proper use of this, might as well make element and resistances all the more valuable once and for all.
