Devs shouldn't give up on races after Viera.

Moogles have been playable in the turn-based console FF games, but now they fly almost perpetually unless they've consumed too many kupo nuts, drank something they shouldn't have, or are just being super lazy; either of which incapacitates them. They wouldn't have to use something in-game already though. Another short race can be an entirely new design concept.

They can always claim that the Ivalice Moogles are a different species of Moogle. Like how in HW, two seperate moogle tribes are reunited after a long time. Ivalice isn't even on the same continent as those two Moogle tribes, and the moogles have been established as having magic that can make them disappear, so there's already an excuse to introducing them even though we haven't seen any before.

They should have made a tall and short version of Au Ra for male and female like they did Hyur. But for whatever reason they chose to make the only difference in appearance their scales, similar to Miqo’te which limits options...

A better option would be just to allow us to pick scale color and be short or tall.

That's what I was hoping for when I first heard of Au Ra. I was really looking forward to creating a badass Dragon(?) Lady.

I noticed something yesterday that's relevant... What if we get female Viera and male Lupin?

That they reworked Fran's hands (no claws) and feet (no claws) so that she could feasibly wear our gloves and shoes leads me to say we aren't getting lupins as they exist now. Even with the "new model" Lupin cannot wear masks, partial helmets, hoods, hats, or any hairstyle/facepaint the aesthetician has. Can you imagine the backlash if SE announced "Hey guys, you know all that gear you collected? All the hairstyles you've earned? All the cash shop clothes you've bought? You can't wear them on this new race, please look forward to it" lol

I wouldn't mind if the Viera are a subtype of Elezen when you choose your race. Why? Because then new races can be added using the frameworks of the old. Ronso? Use Roegadyn as a base. Ivalice Moogles? Use Lalafells as a base. Etc etc.

The leaks did say there's another race to be added and hinted to it being lion like. So it could be a Ronso or a Moomba.

I sincerely doubt there will be Ronso. Leaks always have disinformation in them.

And so are female Miqo'te then if you want to classify them as small races. At the smallest height possible they are 4' 11" which is only 2 inches more than the smallest Au Ra at 4' 9". Yes they can be rather short on the extreme side but not something I would call a small race like lalafell, dwarves, goblins etc. They are still a relatively normal sized and proportioned race compared to the average human.

Also the tallest lalafell is 3' 2" leaving a difference of 1' 7". Height is a gradual slope from the tallest race down until you hit au ra female. After that it jumps off a cliff to slap a lalafell in their big head.

If there was an actual spectrum that specified small to large races and small was from 3'1 to 4'9, female Au ra would be in, and female Miqo'te would be placed as medium. Despite their similarities physically, female Au ra are still smaller. I am fully aware that the differences are much more visible between lalas and everyone else.

I would actually say there are XS and XL sizes amongst the races and lalas are definitely all alone while there are more choices for the larger sizes. Just like when I go shopping xD
