Heck, for the convenience of not having to go to the aesthetician, I'd gladly pay much more than that per swap.
Leaving the plate empty would only work if you never wanted to change your hairstyle.

If a hairstyle is equipped to Plate 1, then any time Plate 1 is applied so would that hairstyle. So if I wanted to use glamour from Plate 1, but not necessarily the hairstyle I'd have to apply Plate 1, then unequip my gear, then apply Plate x (assuming a second Plate with the hairstyle I wanted was already set up).

OR I'd have to first visit a Glamour Dresser to manually change the hairstyle slot before applying the Plate...
OR I'd have to visit an Aesthetician afterward to change my hairstyle back to what I wanted...

Both of those options make the Glamour Plate system less convenient. Unless there was a seperate toggle JUST for the hairstyle...

Come to think of it, maybe toggles for everything would make more sense as it is... since I'm already doing things like... apply Plate 1 to everything, unequip Body and Legs so they don't change, apply Plate 2, unequip rest of left side and apply Plate 3 to only change equipped accessories' appearance... when I'm mixing and matching within my established Plates.

With toggles I would just need to toggle the things I wanted to apply to my current gear from the plate before applying it, and wouldn't have to go back and forth between the character equipment menu and glamour menu several times to achieve the desired customization.

Honestly, if the idea bothers you that much, just leave all of your hair slots in your plates blank. Then visit the aesthetician when you want to change. You'd be no worse of than you are now and the people who do want to see the feature implemented could get their wish.

    Wow... agree or get out?

Like I said, if toggles become a thing I'm fine with it, but w/o a way to have the option to NOT apply a hairstyle w/o having the slot just be empty (as I said, right now players have the option to not apply glamour from a Plate by unequipping the gear, allowing for mixing and matching of Plates) I'm not okay with this.

But as she has correctly stated, if added, you do NOT have to use them. If the glamour plates for hairstyles are too much, you can leave them all blank, and continue to do things as if the feature was never added. So it's not so much an "Agree or get out" situation as it is that your situation is easily rectified. Now, I agree with toggles being added for every slot. Would make things easier. But this would be additive to the ways we already have for managing hair and thus nothing would be lost from them adding it, with or without toggles.

As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

I never stated I would never use them.

I do change my hairstyles quite often.

But having a hairstyle attached to a plate locks that plate to that hairstyle without some extra workaround by the player afterward. It makes the glamour Plates LESS flexible.

I get that some ppl set their Plates up by job/class/role/ w/e...

I have my Plates set up with mostly role-unrestricted level 1 glamour outfits, BUT sometimes I feel like wearing the shoes and gloves from Plate 2 with the rest of the outfit from Plate 5. Apply Plate 2, unequip shoes and gloves, apply Plate 5. Done.

Most of the time I only mix 2 or 3 plates max so the amount of back and forth between the character menu is minimal (IMO or I've just gotten accustomed to dealing with it), but then adding in a final step that would require me to unequip every slot just to change my hair whenever I feel whimsy is cumbersome as all get out.

Look, once again, I offered that if they add toggles to the plates I would be fine with this, and it makes the system even less cumbersome for me when mixing and matching. In my above example, assuming I didn't want to change my hair in the process I could go to Plate 5, toggle the hair off, apply plate 5, scroll to plate 2, press the Toggle All button (cause there SHOULD be a Toggle All option) to deselect everything, then select just the hands and feet, apply plate 2.

I would never have to leave the Glamour menu. No more back and forth with character equipment menu. You get what you want, I get what I want.

In which case, what you'd want is toggles added to each individual item, whether or not they add the hair feature. I'd say that's a separate request in itself, although there is some intricate tie in to this particular request. Personally, I would suggest creating a separate thread for that, as it would be best served as its own idea. Regardless of whether or not they add this, they SHOULD be adding the toggles.

Plus, there's the potential they might add a hair tab to the glamour dresser, and allow you to right click and "Apply hairstyle" similar to how you can select individual items in the glamour dresser and "Apply glamour" (I use this A LOT myself)

I never said agree or get out. I'd appreciate it if you refrained from trying to put words in my mouth.

You said in your first post that you would "rather not" they add it and then gave your reasons why. I merely pointed out that it would be a feature that would be completely optional for the player to choose to opt into or not. So adding it would detract nothing from you and give a lot of people something that they would like. You could simply opt not to use it and continue to use your plates as if they hadn't implemented it and things would be the exact same as if you'd gotten your wish.

About toggles- they sound like a wonderful addition to glamour plates in general and I would welcome such a refinement to the system. If we could have both toggles and a hair slot, I would be ecstatic. However, I would "rather not" the implementation of a hair slot be contingent upon this new feature. Or vise versa, for that matter. QoL features like this should be implemented well enough to stand on their own. On top of that, SE has a long track record of adding these sort of improvements very slowly. If we have to wait for both to be ready to get either, we could be waiting a very long time.
