Really? I'd be happy to help people understand mechanics. Especially if it's first day, first week....
But the alliances that I went with right now wanted to run in blind without explanation... So it's like... Okay... ;___; I'll stay quiet.

Its a byproduct of the MMO becoming more successful. I can tell by the attitudes of many parties I've been in lately that we have many previous WoW players in the game.It seems this is happening now in the new raid, I know its the first day of the raid but been seeing this alot today, heck, I JUST got kicked after joining in a group that was on the third boss, we wiped and they kicked me.
SPOILERS
Its Thunder god Cid
No instructions what I need to do, no instructions on what their placement was. Just kicked.
I think I may give this raid a few weeks before trying again cause right now, people are really making it stressful on these kicks and yelling.
Honestly its nothing to do with that.We had many WOW players joined here since 2.0
And a lot of the new ones are barely even hitting lvl 70 now yet alone haveing the ilvl requirement to join this instance.
This is more the result of unsynced carries and impatience players.Wheter they played WOW or not is irrelevant. We've had this kind of thing going in 24 man raids since Labyrnth of the Ancients.I recall WOD being particularly bad for that.
And lets not forget Titan Hard mode which was an issue before you even joined the game. It's one of the reasons a lot of players never originally did coil.Because they couldnt get past Titan hard mode to unlock it.
This right here. I will agree that the third boss in the new raid is a bitch, but a lot of people seem to forget how hard raids were in arr. Like who here remember people spamming the abandon button bc your group couldn't get past trash mobs? Bone dragon in the Labyrinth of the Ancients was a shit fest to get past and if you did you might as well had a macro out to spam STAY ON YOUR PAD over and over in the next stop. Or just dying over and over to the bomb trash mobs. I'm sure many of us played WoW back then, too, but one thing is certain the attitude has not changed at all in this community.Honestly its nothing to do with that.We had many WOW players joined here since 2.0

Hell, anyone remember when the abandon button was pushed over and over in the last raid bc people couldn't do math? Or Rabanastre bc the second boss was mean. Heck in HW remember Ozma? I remember Ozma. Third boss in this new raid feels like Ozma. Gonna be mean for a few weeks but then people will understand the mechs and then he will slip into duty finder horror stories for those few but far in between nightmare groups.

Not all groups are bad about it, I got lucky with my group. No salt in chat(at least not in Alliance or my group's chat), we all just treated it like a progression raid. No wipes on the first boss, two or three wipes on the second boss, something more like five or six on the third boss, and one wipe on the last boss. We cleared the raid with three minutes left on the clock. Not a single vote abandon. There were a couple leavers, but that group for the most part stuck to it until we won.
This is how usually my day one groups go. Yesterday was a lot of baby rageNot all groups are bad about it, I got lucky with my group. Kicking abuse has started to get out of hand in general. I had an FC friend kicked from the new dungeon 2 times in a row. He was tanking, the other 3 people died and he was just standing there tryin to die but they kicked him anyways. He queued again and it happened again on the same boss.
There needs to be a way to dispute or report abuse of this feature.
Not to be captain obvious here, but casual players don't usually get up before the sun rises to run a new 24-man on patch day lol***Don't spend 10 minutes explaining a fight BEFORE the first pull. It's so dumb and counterproductive.***
I got the clear and loot my first attempt, patch day, before sunrise with 40 minutes to spare in the raid.
With that being said...
Later in the afternoon I helped friends get theirs. The BIGGEST drop in quality of play leading to abandons I've noticed were from the healers.
A couple of kicks out of literally thousands of groups of players is hardly abusing the system. Played this game since launch and not once have I been kicked from an instance. The only people I've personally ever seen, or voted for, being kicked absolutely deserved it.

So what you're saying is, you not being kicked means abuse never happens and that vote kicking a tank because they survived the longest on a dungeon boss and didn't die quick enough means they deserved it. Got it.Not to be captain obvious here, but casual players don't usually get up before the sun rises to run a new 24-man on patch day lol

So WoW dungeon kick mentality has finally come to FFXIV. Great, just what we needed.
A couple people grouped up throw kicks around like crazy in dungeons. So what you're saying is, you not being kicked means abuse never happens and that vote kicking a tank because they survived the longest on a dungeon boss and didn't die quick enough means they deserved it. Got it.
