...They're inferior because they're not braindead easy on Day One of new content?

.............And you've been playing XIV for how long now?

People still wiped on Void Ark on Day One towards barf boobs (Cuchulainn), to Forgall, to Ozma, to Scathach, to Diabolos, to Echidna, to Calofisteri, to Ferdiad, and Deathgaze.

    So, I ask thee......

Where the hell have you've been or what have you been playing!?

Y'know, this exact same thing has been said during SB's lifetime about Hashmal and Construct 7. It's rather sad that players are whining on patch day about difficulty AGAIN because 'oh-mai-god, I can't get carried by other players'. Smh.

I mean the community as a whole literally nicknamed Weeping City as Wiping City almost immediately after release. Even now people *still* refer to it as Wiping City.

I haven't seen anyone come up with anything like that for the Ivalice raids. So either you started really late and/or you really weren't around when the Void Ark raids were considered current content.

I really enjoy this raid, even more than previous Ivalice raids that were already pretty good in everyway.
Mecanics are really fun to learn, bosses are not hard and all have a great design.
If I would be to detail a bit :
The whole scenery is awesome, lots of reference to FFT so to a fan it is even more thrilling to land in Mullonde (I was really hoping for this! )
We completed it on first run, but with something like 2 minutes left, so that was really a close call.
Many first timer, and we wiped on every bosses once (except for 3rd where we wiped multiple time but with some lead it went pretty smooth in the end)

But I would oly give one little critic, I found the last boss to be pretty underwhelming on her last phase, especially after fighting the 3rd one. It was a bit sad because her transition phase is gorgeous as hell.
I like her design, but it is simply that when you first see her most body trapped in crystal, you expect a big chunk of her to be hidden, and when it is finally wholy revealed, in the end she is not that big. I even find her to be a bit clunky and not really well balanced, design wise. The ugly part is really too small to really make it frightening and god like, in my opinion.

But to complain on difficulty on day one, seriously XD some really are way too catered to in their daily life to whine they can't pass this raid in a blink.
Besides, discovering mechanics is part of the fun, when everyone will do it for the 10th time, the fun will no longer be here :/

It's typical for the last boss of a raid to be easier than the third. It sucks to wipe in the very last boss, they they like to put the 'wall' in a little earlier and make just getting to the last boss a bit of a reward.

One thing I will say about boss #3 , get the markers right. All other mechanics are on you to learn, but if this is wrong you’ll wipe.

In my first and failed attempted, A was placed to the left, B to the right and C to the back.
This was clearly wrong, as the mob that spawned where C was ended up targeting a member of alliance A with a line AoE (me specifically, it’s a golden overhead marker, while the circle/donut AoE is a red one) and when we returned to the main arena, alliance A landed right on top of C’s marker.
This meant that everyone had to run around the arena to get back to their original starting points, and that we couldn’t direct the mob’s line AoE’s to the edge of the arena, causing them to cut across and hit more people.

So remember people. A goes to the back, and I presume B is left and C is right, and take the mob to your right (they don’t spawn exactly on the markers)

Huh? So something is inferior if you can't just roll your head over the keyboard to beat it?

Actually, I think the Ivalice raid I had the most trouble with was Ridorana. Except Cid, Orbonne was relatively tame. We wiped like four times when fighting Cid around the part where you have to stack three people on two sides, because no one was understanding what you're supposed to do, but it was really fun in a challenging manner. It actually made the last boss seem easy by comparison.

In regards to the story, as someone who loved FFT, it was awesome seeing the cast again and quite wholesome seeing the two heroes from the game shaking hands in the end. Other than that, it still lacked something for me. Maybe it was just that in the second chapter we still didn't have a clear antagonist. Made it seem like the final boss came out of nowhere in the last minute, dunno (even if I already had an idea of who it was going to be).

That's kind of the point - 24-mans are supposed to have coordination to them.

Personally, I love the raid. And once you figure out the mechanics, they get easier and easier. It's not really anything we haven't seen before. Thundergid's largest mechanics revolve around watching his swords and reacting appropriately by positioning into safe spots.

I'd rather not return to the Walking Simulator that was Void Ark. Weeping City and Dun Scaith were both amazing, but this raid has surpassed even them in terms of how much I like it.

The only thing I'd potentially consider "too much" is the requirement for three players in each circle, at the same time as six expanding bleeding bubbles, immediately followed by a huge AoE.
That's impossible to do on your first time, and if you have 2+ first timers or KO'd, which is likely, then it's a wipe.

Then you wipe a bit until someone in the alliance finds out how it works. Where is the problem with that?

This is one of the best 24 man raids that we had so far now people only need to learn to be patient, which is the bigger problem.
