I don't buy it. Like I said, I really don't think it could be Wall-mounted, since the pillars would cause issues, which means it would have to be a Table, and Tables have to touch the ground (like stairs are in the sample image). If they were separate items, the "bottom" of them would always be free-floating space. Also that middle bit that connects the two platforms would seem like an odd choice to include as a separate furnishing.

Though I'm basing this on how furnishings have worked up until now, and they're definitely doing a bit of an overhaul to furnishings with this patch, so who knows!

Pillars don't cause issues with wall mounted objects unless you try to place the center of those objects over the pillars. I've got a pair of Grade 3 Picture Frames overlapping a pillar in my alt's FC room to create the appearance of square mirrors on each side of it.

The loft itself is likely be 2 wall mounted lofts with a tabletop railing.

The staircase does look like 2 separate pieces used to make a longer stair because of the awkward gap between the 5th and 6th steps that doesn't exist between the others. It could be a wall mounted item as long as the anchor point is the second step from the top, though it would mean we'd have to use the floating trick if we wanted the stairs going the other direction (not a big deal).

If it is a single item, I hope they have it classified as a table for simplicity's sake (not to mention the chance to display tabletop items on it).

Looks like the loft stuff IS in fact 3 pieces used multiple times (stairs, small vertical divider and the large loft plank)! Thank you SE, I like my lego pieces!

*cough* Well the patch just became downloadable, so a lot of discord channels are ablaze with random info.

That random info would seem to indicate I can get samples of all the new crafted housing items made and screenshots posted fairly quickly once servers come up. SE is definitely looking out for casual crafters again with this new batch. The script items will take a bit longer as I've been using up my script lately so I'll have to gets some collectibles gathered/made and turned in.

lol, my bad. Game is live now though, and I was definitely wrong! The Wooden Loft, Wooden Beam and Wooden Steps are all separate, wall-mounted furnishings.

The new floating platform is a wall mounted item, easy craft too by the way
