Can we finally please have a proper game client launcher in 2019?

We PAY for this shi## already, dont come like we demand some extra premium services...

I just want an launcher thats not that laggy, instable and outdated, they can always ad an PS4 or 5 app later on too, which also makes the use of a dist not necessary anymore (i know you just have to delete the game files and re download but come on...).

Not sure what you mean by unstable and laggy, I've never had an issue with the launcher.... if anything a launcher like battle.net would eat up more resources and make your laptop even slower.

Agreed. I don't think I've had my launcher laggy or anything. People seem to be content with the mediocre.

1) The launcher in the original post is not World of Warcraft launcher. It is a Blizzard battle.net launcher. It is the equivalent of Steam, GoG Galaxy, Origin etc.

If you want to suggest something to that notion...go ahead and suggest Square Enix to go and make its own brand of desktop shop application. Because that's what that is.

2) A game launcher is supposed to launch the game with as little resource cost as possible. Its only features IS supposed to be secure login, pre-game configuration and news.

3) Auto-logging is not going to happen. If they did offer that service, they could throw the "don't share the account information" part of EULA through the window. That would open the flood-gate for people to request refunds for getting their accounts stolen by using gold-sellers and other shady services or even for selling their accounts online. That's a business shot in the foot.

4) Getting disconnected from the server does not kick you out of the game. It disconnects you from the server as the name suggests. You end up in the title screen. What does get you kicked out of the game is being disconnected from the lobby. If that happens, the problem is usually the internet connection between you and the company. Seeing as the launchers purpose is to connect you to the lobby, its job is done and it continuing to run would just eat up resources. That is why it closes.

5) What COULD be done is for the game to not shut down on disconnection from the lobby, giving you a "Try again" button.
