What standards? Jesus Christ, the game literally is handing you better gear because its telling you that you should probably start gearing up stronger. This is common sense. I mean, if you want to insist that being undergeared past Bardam, then that's fine, but don't bring your laziness to the rest of the group and expect people to be cool with you saying 'Being undergeared is fine'

You are forcing your standard, which in truth, your laziness into your groups. And while the DPS might not notice much, the healer will have quite annoying time playing by your rule. And TBH most of the time people put up with such tank just because they are tank and replace one would take so much time. Amazing double standard, isn't it.

Also, the other day got a healer with some i250 piece in lvl 69 dungeon. Guess what, abandoned after 1 hour inside.

Yet when casually levelling in the story, you're handed HQ gear, as well as dungeon gear at the end of a levelling dungeon.

Oh no you didn't try to pull out the elitist club.
It has nothing to do with minmaxing, its common sense to try to get the best gear possible to be no burden for your party. The casual argument is no excuse for that, i'm only playing casual myself and i always upgrade my gear when i'm leveling a class because its respectless torwards my party if i expect them to carry my undergeared corpse.

There is NO reason to be undergeared and there is NO excuse to be undergeared in a game where the stuff gets thrown into your face like it happens here.

Leveling to 70 with Shire gear isn't "being lazy": you hit 60, you will get the best gear you can buy at 60, and continue leveling until the game drops you better gear that you, of course, will use. Never said to ignore it. But if I'm unlucky with rolls I'll not going to spam the same duty for a piece of gear. You call it "being lazy"? OK.

The "I got a party member in shire gear and duty gone wrong" card has been played too much times, I did saw people in savage gear performing much worse, then what I have to conclude of it?

• People can be bad or good whatever they wear;
• Gear is not everything;
• judging people only because their gear is no good.

And don't mix this position of mine with the people making duties with severely underleveled gear, I don't appreciate that too and it happens mostly on purpose, because the game itself at some points throws you better gear and there is no reason don't use it.

It is lazy because you already get better stuff in Shisui if you didn't upgrade your shire gear to 270 and you obviously didn't read yourself properly because then you would've known that the gear from doma and castrum have a severe increase in defensive stats compared to the shire gear.

Nobody interpreted anything wrongly. You literally said "Shire gear up to 70 is perfectly fine for any casual player", and then followed that up with "Casual leveling doesn't play your minmax game." If you didn't want responders to take your words at literal face value, perhaps you should've added in 'some Shire gear', yet even then, by the time players start hitting Doma Castle, they should have pieces from Shisui and Bardam on them. Hell, in a lot of cases, if you're leveling through a mix of dungeons and HoH, you're going to spam a duty a few times. If you're exclusively leveling through HoH, then people need to have the courtesy of not coming into a duty past Bardam with Shire gear, expecting their party mates to be completely fine with it.

If you're really going to pull the Savage card here, perhaps the issue was not gear - perhaps the issue was that they were just playing badly. Don't introduce a strawman into this conversation, hoping to direct conversation to a different subject. You say judging people only because of their gear is no good, but see, the problem is that is this conversation centers primarily on leveling dungeons - which don't have a required minimum item level. Everything after leveling dungeons do, because that's what the devs expect players to have for a basic run.

There sure ar many players that are just as good with that lower gear, yes. But you cant expect every healer do be able to deal with an way weaker tank, every tank to perfectly manage his skills. There are some not top notch ppl too, but they still wanna tank or heal... I know im not that amazing in healing but still usually im ok, but having that tank with some 230sh stuff at bardam who died on first pull no matter what, having bards with lv 90 weps in 56+ dungeons, things like that frustrate a lot and are for sure part of our lack of tanks or heals...

Its always been like that, even more on those close to level cap dungeons, just remember the aurum vale... all theyd gotta do is setting the lvl sync to 50/60/70 for those dungoens so stronger players can make up for bad gear, OR set a min ilvl.


What hurts the most is, I get we might have some bad luck, when i leveled my jobs i had basically full sets of all thet dungeon gear as i tanked a lot and healed, so i could get loads of dps gear. But seeing how ppl dont even roll for WAY better gear hurts, like a slap in the face...
