New Character in the Ivalice Alliance Raid?

Why is everyone confused about Vieras feet. It's not their heel that's the issue, it's their toes/nails. The structure of their foot it very similar to that of a normal humans, but perpetually arched, based on artwork. It's the front of their foot that is more "beastial". As some people might be aware, the structure of your nails/toes determines how someone walks/runs; the heel is just the support. The stilettos are just a simple solution to provide support and allow for the possible advantages given to them by their nails.

And again this stupid discussion about lalafell being like children. They are a freaking dwarf race for gods sake and people need to stop comparing them to children!

There's a weird issue I have with Lalafells thanks to a certain Christmas event. Apparently Lalafell stop physically 'ageing' or whatever at a certain point, so even as adults, they could still end up looking like children (some children also being taller than the adults).
I dunno if the Lalafell child in that Christmas event was a child or not, but we've yet to hear if it was a Lalafell pretending to be a child, or see what Lalafell children look like.

Anyway, the young Viera in that concept are a huge no thank you. Too childlike in appearance and just... there's a few things I don't like about it. Glamour being one reason (Tera Elin anyone?), other reason being no child should be able to handle all the nonsense our characters currently deal with and finally... it's just dumb to think of a child being able to become a Grand Company Captain.

Again, Lalafells are a weird area. There's only one "child" we know of and they could have been pretending for free food (Lalafells also have weird body proportions compared to every other race, especially the children of those races).
The concept art for the small Viera are very clearly children, though. Very similar in design to the Hyur kids, in fact.

Lalafell look like children regardless of what you say. How would a youthful race of shorter viera be anymore of an issue than lalafell?

Also your age point makes little to sense when we have stories of children dealing with messed up stuff all throughout media. The quickest off the top of my head is Harry Potter where he and his friends deal with life and death situations in their first year with every movie/book getting more and more dangerous.

No one is asking for minors to be playable, I don't care what age they are supposed to be, I just would like to see another option for a shorter race. If Lalafell get pass for looking like children why is that concept art suddenly where you draw the line? I honestly believe if Lalafell were being released today there would be outrage at this blatant depiction of children in adult situations.

Probably that and some people would think they're offensive. Because reasons. Since people tend to go out of their way nowadays to find something to be offended about.

I think part of the resistance you'll see to things like this, Blue Mage being another example, is the sense of finality and limited opportunity. If they added a new race every few days very few would bat an eye at small viera / lala.

At this moment though its like.. you're fighting over the last bit of wood and what to build with it. Seeing as a sort of someone wants to make a bit similar looking clock to the one the town already has while another is thinking "this is our last bit of wood, we better make something we don't have at all" (then the other might say "but we'll use the clock more than yours", etc, etc lol). Races are a rare add to the game and Yoshi recently said this might be their last, so now its even more than what it is normally.

It looks like we're getting tall viera, and I couldn't be happier. I would have been ok with small viera too but I don't mind either way. I just hope viera is not gender locked - I want both male and female viera.

Keep in mind that just because we have Frans imported model, it does not necessarily mean her features will be representative of her race. Take it with a grain of salt.
Examples: Raubahn, Lyse and Merlwyb. Balthier if he shows up in CS, Alma and Joffrey, Lightning's knees, Shantotto. :3

Speculation is fun, but don't assume its fact juuuuuust yet.
