Time progression in the game is weird. Logically the story has been running over the course of a few years, but time never officially moves forward. It is always five years since the Calamity, and characters don't get any older.
The twins are 16.

Will have time soon but did they say if you can play against others or just lala-robots for the Mahjong? I also have to look up what the Japanese rules are lol, hopefully they're similar to the Taiwan variation I learned.
We need to see some drunk lalafells betting way too much money for this game, meme it up SE :3. (This game is classic for money wagers, at least with the other versions - I know nothing of the Japanese one).
Ah, all talk.

During the Blue Mage demo portion of the LL they also showed an additional mount, Gold Saucer Mount... it's literally the Gold Saucer... a giant glowing cactuar.
No idea when this mount is being added within the patches though...
Also during the Blue Mage demo they showed off some new /gpose features...
1st pic shows a toggle for the "wet effects" on character.
2nd pic shows an embedded emote menu within /gpose. It will be possible to change the characters emote without leaving /gpose.
I also grabbed some pics of when Yoshi was showing off some of the new furnishing items...
Also no idea when these items are being released within the patches though...
Wish they would have shown the mount with a male roe riding it because it could go the rout of some mounts that doesn't change size no matter what race is on it or male roe's will have a hulking giant glowing Golden Saucer everyone will be able to see a yalm away.
I feel part of it could be some well paced rewards as well.
Let's say 5 races a week gets you 50 end game tomes. Pretty sure there would be a significant uptick, at least 5 lol. Ideally just enough to bring people in taste it a bit for fun and then drop it just as well, because I think people could have fun sometimes running their chocobo around but there would be a lot of complaints / "that's pointless" if it was like 50 races a week.Just made a gold saucer post on it, the more I think about it the better I think it would be for the Saucer and for players too I think. That'd be pretty cool.
Triple Triad was extremely easy for me to get into. I think it's in a pretty good place, but Chocobo Racing and Lord of Verminion feel overly complicated for what they are. I ignore them for months, then whenever I convince myself to give them another go I remember how contrived the systems are.

Mostly because on a busy day I'm like "I'd love to do some of that light stuff but I need to get this one thing done for my main". Now if I could lightly do both, oh my yes please. Of course not suggesting it can replace other content means entirely but just be a nice breather piece.
Like if you were trying to casually cap tomestones for the week. MSQ, MSQ, RAID, RAID, PLZ NO MO-- Triad 5-10 times? Okay! Then back to the regulars of course, because I don't want to see it replace just rather occasionally supplement. I think that'd be fun.
Might be able to get my wife to touch the game for a bit lol. Hopefully the rule differences aren't too big though, not familiar with the Japanese style of Mahjong. If there is a HUGE difference it would be nice if they could offer us different rules that are famous, but if not then I'm sure we can adjust.

I'm with Rita on this one. When you announce an announcement its for the purpose of building hype. I don't mind Mahjong being added to the game, its a classic board game and has a lot of fans, but allowing the fans to speculate and build up anticipation over it was a mistake. My FC was astir with thoughts of Blitzball or Snowboarding or Battle Square and Mahjong is a disappointment compared to that, because Mahjong is already available to play in a thousand different ways, whereas those other mini-games would only be available from FF. The Gold Saucer Mini Game was my most anticipated announcement and Mahjong was a let down.
Square could avoid that kind of disappointment in the future by simply arranging their announcements better. Its the same with Blue Mage. They announced Blue Mage first, making everyone believe they were getting what they've always wanted and then only once everyone was excited did they describe it as a limited job, thus people were crushed. If they instead had begun by announcing the limited job system and only THEN say Blue Mage would be the job they use for it, it would have been easier to accept.
Edit: Spelling Errors
