    I dont get why they decided to delay the announcement of Mahjong its like they want to try and find new ways to make people upset by creating hype and following it up with something as dissappointing as possible

    It is.

    It's a great addition to the game, since FFXIV is a classic JRPG as much as it is an MMO. Having mini-games to play around with is hardly the worst thing in the world and by the sounds of things it didn't steal a significant chunk of development time, either.

    I'm sure the delay was intended to disappoint you and not at all because they wait until both the LL before the content is meant to be added (generally) and when they have enough information/stuff to show.



    It's almost like they've used that approach to release information for over 5 years now. Maybe don't hype yourself up over literally next to no information next time?

    Why would they show something huge at a run of the mill LL while showing the small stuff at FanFest?

    And inb4 "show all at FanFest", what would they have to show at the LL then?
