Ooh, Adkiragh for custom deliveries! It's about time he got something to do!


And the hairstyles are Ramza and Alma's, so it seems logical they'd be from the final Ivalice raid (raid prize? token trade-in? quest reward???) but it's no guarantee.

Also a little concerned that they're each only shown on one gender of models. I hope it's not a single gender-locked "Ivalice" style that gives both at once.

Given that his entire thing so far is that he is absolutely not an Adarkim Xaela (but did you know they'll go to any lengths to become khan of the tribe?) and you can see his tail if you swing the camera around behind him.... well, he might be wearing the Gold Saucer bunny ears! He's evidently already been shopping there.


Also due to the joys of character data (spoiler?), we can actually already find out what he looks like... though of course there's always a possibility it's a 'placeholder' design and they might change it before we actually get to see him.

(For those not used to reading Garland Tools' character data sheets, the top picture isn't what he looks like, that's just his hairstyle on a generic face - the other information shows he has the "old" face (#4). And even that might not be right, since the face details say "custom" so he may in fact have a unique face design, and these are just the underlying settings that you don't actually see.)

Also the "talk dialogue" has two sets of quotes - the first three lines are his original dialogue and the rest are what replaces it at some point during that quest.


Looking up his data has made me realise that he only starts talking about the Adarkim tribe after we've done an Azim Steppe sidequest involving them... with some interesting information.

The other possibility I wondered about - having played the Anemos chapter of Eureka but not gone beyond it, is that there's a Xaela character in that brief flashback scene and he's wearing the same style of shirt that Adkiragh wears, and seems to have the same tail shape. So that seems more-than-coincidental, particularly also with him now being in Sharlayan. But as I said, I haven't played beyond Anemos so maybe that's been disproved by further installments of the story.

That would be a lovely twist. Also, while Zhloe was kind of left-field, M'naago and Kurenai had both had story-connections prior to their being introduced as custom delivery NPCs.
I just hope you don't have to do any Eureka to actually unlock him or any of his questline because that would be just too much, but not unprecedented given other custom delivery NPCs already have requirements in place

I really hope it's not gender locked. While each hairstyle tilts a bit more in a different direction on the masculine-feminine scale, they're both largely gender neutral and could work well for either.

I agree. I'd like to see how Alma's hairstyle looks on my male Elezen. (Though I guess I wouldn't want that huge bow all the time, only for specific costumes, so I probably wouldn't stick with it anyway.)

I'm not keen on Ramza's hair. The ponytail looks very stuck on and just 'not quite right'.

Given that they're fond of locking every "character-specific" piece of glamour behind the NPC's gender, it wouldn't surprise me if they are gender-locked. Boo.

I don't know how to feel about Seiryu's design lol. The pretty man with a dragon body is awesome but those extra snakes are kinda odd... But his dog looks pretty enough! I've liked all the music for the auspices so far so I'm excited to hear the new theme.

My eb has wanted more ponytails for guys so they'll be over the MOON for the new hairstyles. Hope they're both unisex.
