Agreed. There should be a better way for handling the interactives that affect the housing environment (blank partitions, flowers, etc) instead of lumping all interactives into a single category. Unfortunately, it's the way the system is set up and I doubt very much we'll be seeing any change to it in the near future.

Best bet is to stick to the White Partitions and dye them to complement the interior wall you've selected for that part of the house. No matter how careful you try to be in selecting who is invited to your FC, some joker will eventually slip in and screw things up. Not a big deal if you're using the cheap interior walls off the housing vendor but a nightmare if you're using the expensive crafted ones.
