But you're supposed to pop Diversion before you go red, because unlike Lucid Dreaming, it doesn't halve your enmity, but rather decreases enmity generation by 90% while active.

In other words, it's precisely what you need to pop before a big boom opener to make the most of it.

The sky is blue. Water is wet. Players who don't control their enmity are bad.

    These are facts.

This discussion reminds me of when i was levelling my other classes.

I use my aggro management on cooldown, and promptly end up ripping aggro anyway, proceed to get yelled at.

So i do the only thing that can be done to avoid ripping aggro at that point, stop attacking and contributing to damage entirely.
Proceed to get yelled at for not doing anything.

How the hell do you want it? Make up your bloody mind.
I can't use aggro dumps that are on cooldown, and if people are too thickheaded to realize that...

You take the only possible course of action to accomplish what people tell you to do and they get angry over it, and if you don't take that course of action they get angry anyway, it's a lose/lose situation.

Heck, you actually lose more DPS by preventing the damage dealers from doing anything once they run out of aggro dump CD's than you do by having the tank use a few aggro combos, but it seems nobody cares about that.

The only winning move is not to play at all in this scenario.

Evidently you seem to have learned nothing from this discussion when just about everyone else is saying otherwise. May you be blessed with many tankbusters in your future then.

Then that's on the tank. This has already been covered in earlier posts. It's the responsibility of the whole party to manage aggro.

And yet tanks don't seem to want to use their aggro skills, because they want to DPS instead.

This is a very circular argument.

The tanks use their aggro skills to establish aggro, after that if they lose aggro it is either because they are out geared significantly by the dps or the dps suck at aggro management there is no circular argument there is only an autistic one. AGGRO MANAGEMENT IS ELITIST META TALK GAIZ

Not really? I use mine as much as I need to/should. Excusing stupidity on the part of one or more party members isnt very circular if they wouldn't perform stupid in the first place. I manage my aggro mid pull just fine if I have to deal with some beastly dps but if I see the offtank mashing their enmity combo without a care in the world then I will point it out.

I'll be honest, the tanks I see losing aggro anymore do indeed establish it initially, then they go into dps stance and never look back. Sure, one Diversion is all it takes, but what happens when that wears off? I can't spam it. My job is to dps. A tank's job is to tank. If they can dps and tank at the same time, cool. A lot of people can't though.

So I talked to my static about this problem that I keep running into - or rather, have been for the last month or so. The whole issue with enmity. I'm... Not sure what else I could possibly do to deal with enmity if both Shade and Diversion are on cooldown. Aside from sabotaging my own dps. I'm.... Not exactly sure why you're insinuating that, in the situations that I am 100% at fault, Ursa.
