Hm? I think you misunderstand. I've already completed that whole storyline, including the quest after Dun Scaith. What I mean is, what is the current status of the ship itself? The last real mention of it that I remember was Radlia wanting to seek it out after she saw what it could do. But then after the Weeping City ordeal starts up no one really seems concerned about the Ark anymore from that point on, unless it was mentioned by one of the NPCs outside of cutscenes and I missed it.

No one cares because once we defeated Diablos, we ended the War of the Magi. Radlia is free to seek the ship, but it's not going to present enough of a threat for us to be concerned with. Presumably it's still flying around the Sea of Clouds, but what she's going to do with it?

Well I'm not actually expecting Radlia to actually do anything with it, exactly. I only bring her up because her talking about wanting to find it was the last time I recall it ever being mentioned by any of the NPCs. Still, whether the War of the Magi is finished or not, that's still some significant Mhachi tech floating around. We've seen enough of Allagan tech to know what happens if that gets abused, heck one of Cid's main MOs is to keep people from being able to fiddle with it. And while Mhachi tech might not be as prominent or (maybe) as dangerous, it's still probably not something to turn a blind eye to. The only reason it was even left alone for so long in the first place was because no one knew what it was, and people ended up calling it a ghost ship and were too afraid to bother exploring it until we came into the picture.

Though I suppose the Ark could just be drifting around in the Void somewhere after Diablos basically hijacked it, in which case it probably will remain there unless some random Voidsent gets some sort of clever idea with it. Anyway, I know it's not likely to be of any sort of relevance later on, but I just thought it seemed odd that after that raid and quest the characters just seem to completely forget about it and never bring it up, even if just to say "well anyway, that's not a problem anymore because of reasons".

I agree with you, we might have ended the War of the Magi, but there's still dangerous remnants around. Heck the trailer for Stormblood had 2 prominent Amdapori golems in it.
