Party finder shenanigans. O9S. FC mate taught me Chaos some weeks back so hey let's actually try doing it weekly. I joined a "clear for one" and killed it in 5 pulls since some people kept messing up. Last week I pugged it for two hours. TWO. HOURS. People were so bad and I think out of like 100 pulls (or whatever it was) I was only responsible for maybe 2 of them due to fatigue.

Then this week I join a party and clear in one pull.

I... I was so happy. Only had one death in that one pull and it was a BLM who stood out of position slightly on tsunami donuts.

Edit: Forgot to mention the bad week was over the course of 3 different parties.

I also had a WAR who couldn't control his aggro in my expert roulette this weekend. Pulls between bosses were mostly fine but at bosses, he would go into Deliverance>Vengeance>Shake it off>tomahawk and then ??
Which would have been fine if I was on any other job than Bard and had access to Diversion. On the first boss I burned both refresh to get aggro back the tank, got it back again during Mages, tactician and then got it back again in Armys...
Ended up being the tank for the 2nd and last boss again bc I just gave up trying to avoid aggro and the tank didnt even try to get aggro back. I didn't see the provoke or ultimatum animations, he wouldnt swap back to defiance to even try doing an aggro combo etc.

Yoshi please if Tactician is gonna go, please give us Bards Diversion ;~;

Diversion can only do so much if the tank can't keep their aggro up.

Even if u have diversion up,if the tank keeps losing aggro you'll get targeted soon even if you're not next on the aggro list

But yeah I do know the feeling I admit xD.Cuz on O11 Normal a few days ago Omega burned my ass with Mustard Bomb twice because the tank couldn't aggro him properly

I chat a ton when running roulettes. Do you just mean "chatting instead of DPSing"? It obviously varies depending on class but it's quite easy to type a lot between GCDs and between pulls. Now I wonder if some randos were sitting there scowling and thinking I wasn't pulling my weight haha

Precisely I mean doing nothing BUT chatting. Nothing wrong with chatting with your FC/Linkshell etc. But when you're all but AFK for over 3/4 of the dungeon it's annoying and disrespectful. I wonder how people would feel if the tank did that or the healer? The group wouldn't get very far would it? "Hang on a sec I gotta let my FC mate know I love his new outfit go ahead on without me for the next 15 minutes." "But you're the tank" "Meh, the healer can tank it"

Which is an obvious sign you're not playing. Better to just ask them if they can wait for a bit.

What a weird timeout period. As most others. I also wait until the last minute to do a bunch of weeklies and choice things in the challenge log.

Well, this week, I did o12n and interestingly got a party full of mentors and 2 new players.

Now, when I am in a duty where 6/8 people are mentors, you'd expect, at the very least, some degree of competence. O12n isn't exactly the hardest duty either as most mechanics are fairly straight forward; especially after doing it once.

Somehow. The majority of the players did not know to stack on the female or to move away from the male as they spawn in. There was even 1 mentor that just stood inside Fs cross fire attack. Like why? I felt bad for the healers.

We did clear after 1 wipe but even phase 2 was weird. I took F as I normally do. But for whatever reason it seemed like myself and 1 other dps were at F and everyone else was at M. The split ended up being M 0% F 74% on Ms death. Thankfully, the healers were solid and were able to stay ahead of the raid wide damage

Has anyone having a lot of trouble at Castrum Abania? I don't see that dungeon that hard, but the only reasons I never get into it are either I'm undergeared, or some teammates are new and/or undergeared. Nothing much to say at the first boss; the second boss is kinda struggling when you explain how the element circles work but your teammates still don't understand, and the final boss is noctorious when the healer doesn't know what they should be doing when time goes on.

Besides a healer leaving us once and me and another lalafell saying "Give us some candy dad" to the tank xD(it was a weird day let me tell ya)........not really.Once you get the magic circles mechanic for the clown magitek soldier everything is smooth sailing from there.

Did Expert one time with a Highlander friend and a couple who's alts were Lalas. The number of "We will turn this party around Listen to your father!" style jokes was astounding.
