On the diversity in doing content, I would say that SE is doing the opposite with these limitations. Shouldn't it be up to us if we want to run dungeons or go farm open world mobs? Diversity in choices are better.
I agree with you that people should grow up and deal with it.
However it is in ToS, vague as it may be.

3.2 Disruption. You may not in any way disrupt or interfere with the Game experience of other players, including the disruption of Square Enix's computers and servers.

So in order not to interfere with the main reason why people go into DF and for it not to become a big ongoing discussion of who is in the right, they remove the ability from using DF for BLU. That includes the potential kicking of BLU or any who dare to screw up their attempt at gaining an ability from a mob.
They allow you however to go with a PF group so you can agree beforehand on what the objective off the run will be.

We want SE to work on a full version of the job and put it in the game WHEN it's ready. So yes I want "XIV blu" like how we have "XIV smn". That's not a bad thing and it's an even better thing if we can get that AND the open world/side content. My side would just have to wait.
But again, you are asking them to throw away the design that people have requested from SE for classes such as SMN, just to get the design you desire. Its not about the open world content, its about the skills themselves.

Well, you buy access to the game, this is also in the ToS. You do not own anything of the content that is in game. You buy access to it. Never was it also once mentioned at the start of SB that it would be part of it, this is just content that they thought might be a nice addition to the game. So they gave it to us.
