Nha its more because balancing them is awfull since they share the same core they can't touch anything without messing the other. Rumor says they look for a way to separate them, other says they want all class to disapear in the end.It could be, i still feel like it's wasted potential if they can't remove it. I dont know their reasons for why they think it was a mistake but I imagine it probably has to do with the limited number of jobs that we would have to level if they continued doing this, where I dont feel like leveling a job in this is any real task anyways, that and if they wanted us to level jobs more they shouldn't be making new ones that all start at level 50.
This game... is not complicated at all.... they've dumbed down everything since ARR; resistances, stats, debuffs. This game doesn't have much varying utility.

If they couldn't separate them by SB they never will, also the stats issue WAS resolved because originally the problem was they couldn't separate the stats but now they can.

Seriously?? I played Elder Scrolls Online for over a hundred hours. That game is way simpler.Been playing various MMOs for almost 2 decades now and XIV is simplified and homogenized as hell in comparison to a lot, especially from the earlier days. The devs themselves have said over and over how they tried to make this a game newcomers would be able to pick up easily and it's plain to see how they bend over backwards to avoid any form of complexity. But perhaps it can be considered complicated for complete newbies to the genre.
FF14's gathering is like solving a calculus problem. And what about point-and-click MMOs?
It's my first time in all my years of playing an MMO where my actively used hot bars reach teens.
okay but jobs aren't complicated, most of what you do is similar from class to class and job to job in terms of rotations anyways. Making more jobs won't really complicate anything, just add a few new choices.Been playing various MMOs for almost 2 decades now and XIV is simplified and homogenized as hell in comparison to a lot, especially from the earlier days. Oh I agree with you completely. My comment on complication was toward Bree Dee Dee Brian. I'd love for more Jobs to split off from base classes and used for more variety, they could split Archer into DPS Ranger and Bard (in its current form or even change it to a Healer role) or Marauder into Warrior and Viking for example. And it could be a way to tip their toes into offering more complexity and flexibility into the trinity role system they're currently adhering to.
You're confusing us Silver, do you think the game is too complex or two simple?Been playing various MMOs for almost 2 decades now and XIV is simplified and homogenized as hell in comparison to a lot, especially from the earlier days. They said it made Scholar and Summoner incredibly difficult to balance, which is why they funneled so many of their upgrades into the game itself to try getting around Arcanist. It could be, i still feel like it's wasted potential if they can't remove it. In theory I'd love to see something like that, but I doubt it would turn out very well. Either the devs would screw it up, the player base would find some way to defecate all over it, or (more than likely) both.
