Unless they throw us another wild card with the city. SB was about Ala Mhigo and Doma. We got Kugane, which is part of a third separate nation altogether. And if the Empire is still our enemy in 5.0 I doubt their capital city is a place we'll be able to walk around freely.

I would love to see some Zanarkand and Midgar futuristic cities in this game. In whatever expansion that may be, sooner is nice but I imagine 7.0 (would not complain if sooner lol).

Because it might be hard to keep the theme of future/tech without severe limits (future eutopia city, enter player 2 "look at my thatch hut house") maybe then by the gods might I can get an instanced house/proper fully featured/expandable apartment system too lol (a sprawling hub of mixed instances and shops). *fingers crossed*

TBQH after Baelsar's wall, Doma Castle, Castrum Abania, Ala Mhigo, and now Ghimlyt Dark, if I have to fight through one more dungeon filled with nothing but Garleans and their magitek, I might just defect.

Not that they are bad dungeons, but the aesthetic is getting quite old.

I hope not. The Garlean aesthetic is quite ugly. You can just imagine that their toilets are black and cover with spikes because of how impractical and overdesigned the aesthetic is. I'm going to guess instead that Sharlayan will be the new city because of how we've been introduced to their housing items from Eureka. Since their neutral, they can allow the player to get plausibly closer to the Empire while still allowing parts of the Far East to be developed by having it all connect via ports or airship.

If you'd asked me two days ago, I'd have been 100% certain that Garlemald is the destination of the next expansion. Now, though, I'm not as certain. It may still be, but I also wouldn't be surprised given the events of this patch if we aren't going to Dalmasca. We saw a lot more of their story developed in the 24-man raid with many of the plot points unresolved, we say emissaries of Dalmasca in Hien's court while he was trying to form his Eastern Alliance, and we know that part of the world is where Viera live, and they're going to (almost certainly) be the next new added race.

That said it's possible considering that Nagxia and Dalmasca both are added alongside parts of Garlemald as the two nations exist just west of Othard on the way to Garlemald (we can see this on the map Fran uses in one of the cutscenes)
