Then do it right before 5.0, not in the middle of a raid tier.

It was bound to happen because SE continues to be stubborn and not fix the netcode that causes data transfers that should not exist, and the fact they are using outdated tech for their servers (unless the netcode is really THAT bad to give a feel, whatever the case, they should be addressing THAT, not making players keep paying and paying for SE's shortcomings.

4.5 is too soon on top of things we need time to plan if this is really the route going to be taken

lastly the reimbursement of housing is way too small, and what about FC houses? I should be free to pick the server I need to go to without housing worries. SE is really falling short with this change and housing.

Not possible. Or rather, the only way it would be possible was if they managed to get a data center that was significantly larger and more powerful than what they have. But that's not very feasible. That would take years and by then the current ones could very well be fried. Not to mention the immense costs. Doubling the size of a datacenter costs more than doing two separate ones each worth half due to the fact that all the physical servers (and one server can be several, dozens or even hundredths of computers) need to be connected with each other properly. Something that takes time, high quality parts, a lot of logistics etc. The more stuff you need to connect together the more it costs. Just look at the hardware prices. You get a lot for every buck you pay between low and mid class hardware, but when you reach the high tier, the more you pay the less you get for your buck instead.

And they cannot just make empty data centers while the old ones would burn either.

This is something I agree with though. It is close enough to the next expansion that they could try pushing it further. Unless there will be an immediate and significant benefit to this move, there is no reason not to.

and what happened to all the money the players gave them? With all the money we gave them, we should get upgraded data centers, this is a triple A company, so tried of SE acting like an indie developer
