Viera Race "Confirmed" for 5.0! Are you gonna change races?

If Viera ladies are like 7' tall(without the ears) and have a muscle slider then maybe.

If they're just another "Normal human with animal parts" like Miqo'te and Au ra, then no.

I'm pretty sure any race added to game will have to take on the 'humanoid' appearance like the other races in order to be viable for all the current gear in the game. So I'm pretty sure that's exactly what you're going to get.

For me, I would sooner start up an alt than drastically alter my character's appearance. Once the MSQ had someone say, "Hey! It's that Hyur bitch." I was locked in.

Maybe, depends what they look like. I'd love a fierce muscular bunny. I would have been an au ra tbh but I hate how gangly the males look, so hopefully the Viera will be more graceful.

Since it's said that this will be the last race added to the game, it would be very awesome if they add two actually different tribes with it (same as Hyurs). With this, both sides may be pleased; the players who want cute bunnies, and the players who want the badass bunnies

Part of me is concerned if it is indeed the "last race" they'll be adding, but on the other hand we already have about what other MMOs have in regards to playable races. WoW sorta takes the cake in every way there because there is 2 factions. We just need better customization options at this point.

I want to know more about how they will implement this first.

My hope is we see two "clans", one being like the Feol, and the other (which I would probably play), being the Viera as they appeared in XII. I would not play the race if it is gender-locked, and I hope they refrain from tiny male Viera. A two clan split would better accomplish a size differential.

I don't put much stock in his "last" race claim, since 1) this is SE we're talking about, they do this all the time and 2) what better way to add to the hype when another race appears in a future expansion (or if the two races claim was true)?

Fully agree!

I wish they'd done something similar to this with Au ra - i.e. the Raen as they are now (just maybe with a bigger upper limit on the height slider for females so they can reach highlander female height), and the Xaela a bit more monstrous, closer to the original art.

Well, Fran is 6'2 (excluding ears), so she's still shorter than the shortest Roegadyn female.

Honestly, that's exactly what I'm expecting. While I am not a fan of Viera at all, I do hope they're at least given the same treatment the Nu Mou are given (look unique. I also hope they're closer to their TA design and really hope they don't have the 'clearly children' design).

by "never had a chance to complete FFXII" do you mean story or complete it like 100% content? Because altough the ending is not your typical cute FF ending, it is still deff worth experience it things get pretty crazy towards the end!

Oooh, that would be really cool still!

I mean the story and now *nosebleeds* I gotta play it on my day off immediately because now I'm getting curious as to how different the ending is in compared to the other Final Fantasy titles.
