Now I know the job changing during the cinematic was probably for dramatic fluff but it makes me wonder...where does his gear go? A pocket dimension? Back into the Soul Crystal? I know it's world of fantasy and magic but these little things make me wonder!Watching the teaser trailer again, it makes perfect sense that he not only cycles through different Jobs, that he eventually ends up DRK, because of what he is fighting against in that trailer. Ignoring the whole 'you must become the Warrior of Darkness' spiel for now, he became a DRK simply to counter the kirubu, as everything else he threw at it the stupid Amdaporian construct no-selled. Watch the scene closely - he's struggling to fight it and it just swats him away (it actually breaks his weapon when he becomes DRG!). And, remembering back to the level 70 SCH Job quest and Lost City of Amdapor HM, what elemental alignment did the Amdapori specialise in (and which their constructs like Kiburu were powered by)? Light. And what is Light's elemental opposite? Darkness.
So it made sense in a logical way - he bcame DRK simply for pragmatic reasons, reasons which I'm sure will be given greater clarification and context by the complete trailer next year just prior to Shadowbringers's launch date.

No need to wonder if its *magic*
I mean, we got motorcycles flying in air by its spinning wheels (<3 mah cloud bike)
When you see someones glamour with non matching boots
the gremlins talking to/ following derplander
no one going to say beastmaster?

Frankly before the trailer I would have guessed the Derplander to show up in Ascian gear.

Apropos of nothing, the gremlin was my favorite part of the trailer.

It goes to the armory chest, duh. Have you not played the game?![]()

Well it's pretty obscure, and Esuna is usually a cure-all unless there's a gimmick specific to the fight.
Emotes seem like novelties, not something you'd actually use in a game-impacting way. (no matter however many times the MSQ makes you cast /doubt on people's intentions...)

So at a theoretical-serious level.... everything is made of aether, right? So maybe soul crystals can magically 'absorb' the armour into aetherial form and then release it again when you equip it?
(Hold on tight to that crystal. Things could get awkward otherwise.)
