(Spoiler, Kinda) Gunblade job 'concern'

Regula van Hydrus was geared similarly. Probably will be a tank, but it also has the potential to be a plate dps. Probably not, but the possibility is still there.

I'm honestly hoping that regardless of tank or dps role a gunblade wielder job would be, if ever a thing, that there's a stance shifts between Seifer and Squall, depending on buffs or whatever. Like Squall's (generic looking) for tank stance or standard DPS and Seifer for damage stance or while certain cooldowns or abilities are used.

Wonder how a half-ranged half-melee fighter can tank that said.

Maybe it works like a Shotgun. Shotguns are the most effective up close

Please remember that Thancred was GLD prior to the introduction of the ROG class. He was also wearing basic cloth and leather armor at the time.

Gunblade is going to be a tank.

I personally found it more shocking that they pretty much spoiled the fact that all the Scions currently out of commission in the 4.4 MSQ are obviously going to be perfectly fine by the end of 4.5. That kind of takes some of the emotional tension out of the story, imho.

So using the gun to enhance damage while being OT in a more warrior fashion... Why not, but its still not tank-like at all.

Note that I don't mind it being a tank or existing , I just find this job coming out of nowhere without any other reason to exist than appeal to fan of this kind of weapon. At least it exist in garlemald so why not after all.

Excuse me if the weapon of that lame evil-dude I tried to kill 5 years ago didn't brind me to "wow I want a blade with a barrel gun as a job" and totaly forget about it since he reappered last patch couldn't even remind his name for like an hours or so after seeing him in the MSQ cutscene.

Um...I think you need to pay better attention to what you fight. Every single garlean soldier in this game have a gunblade...Like...seriously. Except Nero and that other guy from trial. They have a gunhammer and gunshield respectively.

Wich one ? Last time I checked they used basic auto attack and have actual existing weapon, like spear, sword & shield, rod and bow. I can't remember a single garlemald guy attacking me with anything else, even bosses are most of the time reskinned robot or gun in a random mele weapon. Should I wait a bit to see that white garlemald boss weapon as a new job too ? Or rythathyn shield-missile launcher as a job ? or Neros hammer-gun ? Garlemald is basicaly "put a gun on that sh*t and call it a weapon" so yeah a katana with a gun didn't ring a bell more than any other garlemald weaponery.

I'm even surprised their gun don't have guns on them too.
