Viera Race "Confirmed" for 5.0! Are you gonna change races?

First off, are we even sure that the new race is Viera? Just saying that for all we know it could be another similar-but-not-really race.

If it is Viera. As long as they're taller than the Miqo'te, I'll be happy (My one and only major disappointment was that the Auri women were shorter).

Yoshi-P has a tradition of spoiling reveals based on the outfit he's wearing each day at fanfest. When they announced a new race was coming he turned around and pointed to the back of his t-shirt which had a clear Bugs Bunny on the back as the 'hint'. Unless he's going wildly off base and trying to troll people, it's Viera.

Sure. But I can assure you, people will chug them down like energy drinks until they get the perfect look going.

Seen some just buying them for switching eye colors alone.

How is that not a good idea? A lot of people expect it to be that way, XII's design is pretty cool. Just look at Fran. If anything, people (obviously not all...) complained that Au Ras didn't end up as the original concept art. We have enough "cute" races, we need more diversity.

I would also prefer the original version, 100%. Just popped my Zodiac Age (never dare to erase it from my ps4 :P ) and went to the Eruyt Village just to check on the designs again, in detail. I think they have all they need to do the right thing here.

The Viera race can be both, there are always two clans, so make one tall and beautiful like in FFXII and the other small and cute like in the illustrations found in the discussion thread about said race!...


I have an alternate character waiting for more than 3 years for a chance to change into Viera, but only if they are beautiful!...

I'm really excited to see what they look like.

I hope they're like Hyurs where the two clans are not only different in height, but design. I appreciate those who want smol and cutesy, but I personally like Amazon Goddesses. So it'll be nice if they please both crowds. For both genders, since some guys also want smol and others want bigger, stronger ones. I like it when both clans have their own distinct personalities and very noticeable differences. It helps makes everyone's character feel more unique. It was one thing I didn't like about Au Ra and made them seem like just a re-skinned Miqo'te.

Also, I hope their ears move. Not just in their emotes, but when they move. That's my favorite part of the Gold Saucer bunny ears, especially seeing a MNK in their default idle animation with their ears bobbing with them. Adorable.

Not switching. It would be weird to suddenly change my character's appearance. I will be making a Viera alt once they come out though

Did the same when Au Ras came out (Love my catgirl too much. Helps that I'm an altaholic). Already have plans ready upon release day.

I know that. Hence the "similar-but-not-really" comment. Don't get me wrong, I'm hyped at Viera being all but confirmed. But I wouldn't be surprised if a curve ball is thrown and we get something similar but not Viera.
