Mentors - What is expected really?

Mentor's one job is explain to people to not use duty finder for extreme trials and instead put them unsynced in party finder.

Mentors are players just like anyone else. When the Ex party goes in there clueless, gets the mechanics fed to them patiently, and they still refuse to abide by it because the sprouts wanted a frigging carry (this has happened too many times to count, mostly in Ramuh ex), no, Mentors don't owe anyone anything special. We don't pay our subs so we can do a thankless job.
Yes, if we wear the Mentor crown (which we have to when queueing for the roulette) we should be at least so helpful. But we're not saints, we're not expected to be saints, and we're certainly not getting paid to display the kind of attitude and responsibility people here expect us to.

Also, "content as intended" - some might argue extreme primals are PF material. So you know, that's a debate in and of itself and occasionally you'll see the thread pop up on the forums asking for that content to be removed from the mentor roulette. Only times I saw that sort of content be cleared was:
1. Odin, after numerous wipes
2. Ultima
3. 6+ mentors in the party carrying the remaining sprouts to victory - which is also not "content as intended"
