Opinions on next eureka armor upgrades

Someone in Eureka said it was leaked that it will be a role specific armor set like the Shire set instead of an individual per job armor set xD. Regardless, hopefully it doesn't require any anemos gear xD.

I really hope so.

The reason I didn't get the individual sets is I don't have the inventory space to have 13 sets of gear (one for each job)

Lower Ilv than Tomestone lets say ilv 370, 5 materia slot. Nothing more, nothing less.

More than likely going to require you to have the Anemos gear, since Relics typically upgrade past steps. They’ve always done that for weapons, and SE is nothing if not predictable in the way they do things. So assume they’ll do the same for gear.

If its going from job specific like anemos to role specific I can see them maybe starting fresh with the armor since there was no armor in Pagos but maybe they'll let you turn in Anemos armor for a phase skip.

Anemos was 355. Probably this new gear will be 385.

Anemos was 350, but yes I miscalculate it will more likely be 380 at best with 5 materia slot.

I think it just depends on how long they plan to stretch it out for I can see them having phases for 380 -> 390 then eventually sometime in 4.5x adding a i400 phase maybe a few months before 5.0

I don't think they will do that. It will overshadow any other content.

I don't see why they wouldn't, by the end of the expansion cycle relics typically are the same ilvl as current raid gear, we don't know what the work will be involved for relic armor this time around though, if Pagos style is any indication we have plenty of work ahead of us just for the weapon let alone the armor, plus this content is supposed to stretch till next July when 5.0 presumably launches.

It's doubtful that the armor upgrade will go past i380 with 5 materia sockets even near end-of-expansion, considering the upgrades would likely come from whatever the next leg of Eureka is and they didn't do an armor upgrade in Pagos. I highly doubt we'll see another armor upgrade after this.

...and be released 4 weeks before the next expansion, if their current schedule holds.

Why should people be able to skip a relic step? More than likely you'll need the older gear to upgrade it just like you need an anemos weapon to upgrade it to the pagos version.
