That doesn’t mean you try to factor that into judging how small or large a prize pool will be.

And you honestly can’t judge that NA, EU, and JP are “equal” in terms of apartments taken up or FC rooms taken up. High caps on them or no.

whereas the 50-for-all-sizes split doesn't care at all about balance and is significantly more egregious, but no one's saying a thing about it because everyone's so set on the problem being NA and EU being combined and JP having its own."
I believe there was someone who mentioned how disproportionate and unfair the prize pools for each entry are, aside from my post explictly saying to you that they were not proportionate. But the NA/EU combination is another form of disproportion that we had to deal with, and that JP didn’t.

Ah, yes, it seems Bullet Bill beat me to it while I was editing my original post, trying to delete as many characters as I could to jam in all that I was going to say. (Took me a while, as I tend to write walls of text, but you may have gathered that.) It's lovely seeing people having similar concerns! And again, no, I'm not saying that NA/EU/JP apartments and FC rooms would be equal. You quoted a couple lines out of my last post, ignoring where I specifically said that population would "absolutely factor into those." I agreed with you, HyoMin, as we are allowed to do.

However, that said, I can still have my unpopular opinion that population size is not the most unbounded disproportion we faced in this contest. It's an opinion, not something I'm going around proclaiming to be fact or to be right or that I'm trying to shove down anyone's throat until they agree with me. My original post was also meant to be my only post, an answer to the OP who wanted opinions, but I felt it polite to reply to others as they went quoting me because it seemed like the invitation to back-and-forth conversation. Now, in the spirit of a casual and civil discussion, what would be your preference: should JP users be lumped in with NA and EU for the total of 200 users across all? Or would we ideally have 200 each for NA, EU, and JP? (Personally, I wouldn't want any more competition than we already had, but you've already done a fine job arguing about how big NA's population is and how JP's is. Are the three separately roughly similar enough to be getting the same amount of prizes? And if they are, what do we do about the whole thing with EU having a much smaller cap on its own than NA for how many houses are available to possibly enter?)

I honestly think NA and EU should just boycott their contests until they actually start playing fairly.

Ooh, excellent notion! I'm in. (Genuinely, I am. It was nerve-wracking enough to even join this one, and it was honestly quite a disappointment for me. I'll just have to live without the mandragora choker I so coveted.) Boycott can move companies to change if they're effective. =]

Why tell a community these are the rules of the competition and then throw them out the window once it closes. Idgi and would love a moderator to explain it to me.

I am fine with people winning in more than one category if this was allowed from the start.

I am not fine with people going against the rules (no matter how small the rule breaking is) and still winning this, or that we only have one contest for NA and EU...

Still congratulations to all the winners that won while respecting the rules.

People who clearly broke the rules won. What good are the rules if people who don't follow them get rewarded?

I love this SE puts in housing competition > people break rules > get rewarded
SE puts in Feast PvP seasons every patch > People break rules/cheat > get rewarded

Keep up the great work SE! And they wonder why there's no point in trying to compete in anything in this game.

Lets also not forget Ungarmax as well that was untested for months till someone reported it after being turned away on the forums for months.

How could I forget? I used to que for Frontlines PvP and have 7/8 bots on my team and like 12 other bots on the enemy teams was great having a cluster of people /follow 1 bot around truly great. Not to mention all the bots flying in and out of Limsa 24/7 and bot sellers that make new ones every hour it's a real slap in the face.

I also remember when I tried to report people on Primal during late NA hours (I'm on the East Coast) was around 11pm for me we kept facing this streamer who was streaming against his friends to boost his own rating in PvP for the Hellhound mount. We'd win against them everytime as they'd just sit there and let us win, the que would die for 20 mins then we'd get them over and over for 3 matches or so then nothing, they kept fishing for their friends to face them, I reported them as they were climbing up the ranks quickly and nothing.

I stopped PvPing after that season I know it's not a huge attraction in this game but all I ever did was raid PvP and crafting nothings changed in so long it's like what's the point in trying to bring any kind of competitiveness into this game? I've gone back to GW2 to PvP and playing other games since raiding isn't doing it for me anymore and the PvP is so bad with the cheating and bots it's pretty bad.
