    Level sync really needs to be a thing for S rank hunts in the future.

    I really do enjoy hunting these, but as time goes on and players get stronger and stronger, they're going to die faster and faster.

    They've already reached the point where ARR and HW S ranks are basically tomestone/seal pinatas because of how trivial most of them are to even a four player party, and it's not unheard of for ARR S ranks to get picked off by solo players who stumble across them.

    The thing is, as long as they drop the currencies they do they'll always be considered "relevant" content going into the future, and so I feel like it's fair that they get some changes to breathe some new life into them, as they were somewhat challenging fights back when they were first released and overall a fun activity for a server's community to take part in.

    Having level sync on them and converting them into hidden FATEs like Odin/Coeurlregina would ensure they're able to live for a decent enough amount of time to actually perform some of their mechanics and allow more time for interested players to show up and contribute.

    They could even add some new rewards to them like minions or mounts to encourage more people to get involved with spawning them.

    Agreed.

    I think it'll actually be a necessity going into the next expansion. Currently an ARR S rank can easily die in 4-5 seconds at peak time. Once we progress into the next expansion I'd imagine they'll die in 1-2 seconds which barely gives you time to react.

    Agreed. I'd definitely like to see this on the S ranks and I feel the A ranks could benefit from similar treatment.
    People complain that the open world is dead, the Hunt is one reason to get out and explore it. In high level areas it's a fun and social experience, in ARR more of a gamble if you will arrive before the mob is dead. It's frustrating if you arrive late and often leads to arguments.
    I'd like to see S ranks requiring a group no matter where they are.

    I agree they can be a little stronger to make the fight interesting but there's absolutely plenty of time to get more than 2 hit in if you get to them in time. I consider myself a full time hunter and I see no issues with them because I'm out there trying to spawn them. This is always a complain I hear from people who are always "late" because they have a terrible LS that doesn't link the calls on time or they think they're entitled to every S hunts out there. When I spawn, I always wait around 3 to 4 minutes before I ask if anyone is OTW and if I don't get a reply in 30 seconds, then I pull.

    Reminder that you're always guarantee a kill if you spawn them yourself. Adamantoise has a very small spawning scene so it's crazy how no one bothers to do that except for a small group of people. Stuff like Bonnacon and Croque doesn't take more than a minute to try if you really want to try. Yes there are assholes out there that early pull but that's not an issue with the hunt itself. The other day I saw someone complain that we early pulled Bone Crawler of all things and that takes a while to kill.

    Some servers, such as Gilgamesh, there are groups working together in different zones at the same time to spawn multiple S ranks. So what do you tell these people that are working to spawn a S rank and a different S rank gets spawned and sniped by someone not working with the larger group? S ranks dying to fast is a problem.

    SE puts achievements and gear upgrades behind hunts. Gotta do hunts if you want either.
    Nobody is entitled to get someone else's work.
    If you make it to one of three S ranks that spawned at the same time, sounds like a group of others also only got one of three. I don't see an issue here. You can't get to them all.

    Right, no one else is entitled to someone else's work. So someone not part of the groups actively working to spawn S ranks who just happened to come by the S ranks with hunters waiting for their fellow hunters to show up shouldn't be sniping the S rank.
    The other groups in other zones spawning other S Ranks that I am talking about are part of the same overall group working together to spawn multiple zones.

    Lets see...

    The devs can stubbornly adhere to this concept despite it going against how the community as a whole approaches hunts, thereby killing off an activity for a lot of players because a handful of others are inpatient knobs. Bear in mind, it's often not the person who spawns S ranks who pulls but someone else coming along despite said spawner happily willing to wait for people. Or the devs can embrace a community created concept, thus allowing everyone to participate in essential "world bosses," you know, that concept everyone has been asking for that virtually every other MMO does?

    Difficult choice, really.
